Hanzo mythic is disappointing

Be kind, it takes a whole year to design mythic skins after all :joy_cat:

Hanzo is my second most played, it is depressing that he is getting the mythic but getting fewer options than both Genji and Kiriko before him. A little saddened today by this.

It started back with the tracer mythic. Less customization options and tiers. Such a shame.

Looking at the “Mime” skin for Moira being passed off as a Legendary when it would make a D-tier Epic at best tells you what you need to know…

Hanzo’s mythic skin is disappointing because there would be more Hanzo players.

Is it not already?
Last year they marketed ow2 with mythic skins as a huge thing with being able to customize it however you want. Genji had so many options.

Only ONE year later we get a bow and some color swaps

It is hard to care when you are a free to player. I am more disappointed that Hog’s chainsaw voice line is premium than whether or not the people supporting the lower quality Overwatch… Are getting an inferior product? Imagine that!

imagine me when i heard tracers mythic is basically one skin with 2 non mythic versions that can’t be combined in any way.

kinda disappointed because they used to start so well with the first few.

wish i was as happy with tracer as i am with kiriko. but i feel robbed on tracer.

the last hero will probably get a simple skin with 2 colors calling it mythic.

Tracer is my 3rd most played so I felt equally robbed here honestly.

They baited people in with the large customization options at launch, now they’re dialing back because people still need a ‘reason’ to purchase items from the store. Maybe if their store items sucked less that would help too though lol.

Past mythics had very little customisation for the hype they were supposed to garner and work apparently put into that aspect of them, but people were predicting it getting worse.

And here we are.

They could at the very least make it so we can customise the colour scheme to our liking rather than giving 3 mediocre options.

The fact is that I look at this mythic skin, and WITH my limited 3D and 2D artist knowladge I see mutliple way to add customization to it within 1 day of work.

You could:
-change the horns
-change the hair
-change the body markings
-change the rope to chains
-dragon skull shoulderpad - normal armor shoulder pad

or if they don’t have time to model stuff, just create more colors for the skin.
this skin has red, white and blue colors, but it would also look good in
ghostly green, black and purple

OR:
-add color mixing option. One option changes the skin/body color, another changes the armor/weapon color.

No, this lack of customization is just not what was promised for “Mythic” skins

I fail to see the complaint here, cosmetics doesn’t affect his broken low skill damage and the fact he hasn’t been balanced in like forever.,

Imo it’s disappointing coz it’s Hanzo.

i was so hyped knowing we can change head armor (given sigma) and then they tell me yeah, helmet or no fancy armor / skin / sound effects.

well now i wear a helmet because i mostly don’t see it myself…

I worry his sonic now chimes as well (if the enemy hears the chimes) and lets them know they are sonic’d

Next Mythic will be D.Va and she’ll have 3 hair clips to choose from. Blue, white and pink (unlocked at level 80)

At the very least the spell animations need to match each color variant. Seeing blue spell effects on the red chroma makes it look so awkward.
