True, i was a Hanzo main since release for about 2 years over 500 hours.

Agreed. Just like every meta-hero. They are once considered trash (i.e. Hanzo/Widow) And when the sniper meta came, they instantly becomes targets.

Typical Blizz, they wanted both Shimada brothers out of F-tier so they made him OP to get pick up. His time is coming, I can see Jeff winding up with the nerf bat even now…

Hanzo is looking pretty balanced statistically now, with the nerfs he got and changing meta. His pick and win rates are pretty close to the middle.

I wouldn’t say he’s amazing at longer ranges. Ofc he can still do well if he can aim from that distance, but with his projectiles it’s harder to get successful shots. He is now more of a close range sniper than anything.

He was always good at all ranges. He was always a tank buster… remember scatter one shotting tanks? His ult was and is poop. Gret mobility now, I agree with that.

he’s good at all ranges and it’s stupid honestly. widow is only good at long range, her SMG is garbage and that’s what balances her out.
Because he’s a pretty terrible sniper compared to widow and is a better midrange hero.

Why are people so stuck on him being called a sniper? We all know he never played like one. It is just as useless as the 1-3 star system. Where tracer, mccree, widow are all 2 stars and so is junkrat… He has always been a spammy hero at long ranges, and strong in mid to close, with scatter or storm arrow.

Where did I say that it was not defeating the purpose? I’m just saying that he’s more of a DPS than a Sniper now.
Widow is yeah, a lot harder up close, where sniping effectively is hard, and does best far back.

sorry, I wasn’t trying to be aggressive or confrontational and realize now that it looks like I was lol.
that’s what the problem I have with it is, he’s just a dps and people keep saying “he was never a sniper”, like you can say he’s not but he still has the headshot multiplier of one. if he’s not a sniper then remove his ability to oneshot and buff him elsewhere.

Yeah his headshots are definitely something to be concerned with. He can do a bunch of damage if he can aim. He can rapidly fire a string of arrows dealing 70(?) per hit, with 5 arrows, for 350 damage if you can aim. Lots of quick damage, and that’s without factoring headshots. Get one of them, you’re screwed.
He does 70 (140 with headshot) each with 6 arrows, I think they should remove one.
Total damage would then be 350 total (700 with headshots)
Oh, but it did change. He became meta… at the same time as Zarya.
