I noticed that hanzos head shot damage is 250 now, I don’t remember them ever releasing patch notes about this but maybe I forgot. can anyone post anything about it or is it a bug?

Why is Widows headshot damage still at 300?

Because Hanzo can’t one-shot torb, due to armor, and… uh…I dunno. To hurt off tanks.
When did we switch world lines. Like a month ago I could 2 shot hogs as hanzo.

It’s literally always been 250, I’ve been able to one shot reapers since launch.
Because headshots are difficult to pull of consistently and half the time you arent shooting at full charge. The reason why hanzo is at 250 is because he has one of the highest damage outputs in the game, with storm arrow, faster charge time and dragon strike.
Headshots on Tanks aren’t hard to land though.
So why not just stop the charge at 250 damage?
She could still 1 shot all DPS and Supports besides Bastion and would feel much less oppressive against Tanks without Barriers.

Hanzo doesn’t have faster charge time when drawing the bow. Between the reload and full draw it remains consistent 1.4 seconds, just like Widowmaker. However, the scaling for Hanzo tends average higher (Hanzo’s minimum damage is about 30, versus 12 for Widowmaker).
It doesnt matter if it’s easy or not, widow doesnt chuck out damage super fast. Widow has to wait one second before every shot, besides headshotting a tank isnt effectively playing widow. Threatning angles and getting key pick offs ar emuch more valuable than killing a tank, so let the few shots widow does hit on a tank do 300 damage. Besides what does lowering her damage solve exactly, no pro thinks widow’s lethality is an issue. The problem with widow is that she is finicky to kill up close, wouldn’t a much better change be to revert her previous nerfs to keep widows lethality intact but give her like 150 health, so that when you do close the gap its easier to kill her.
When you talk about balancing you have to identify the problems of a hero, in widow’s case its not a tank issue. In fact if you want a tank buster everyone would pick reaper instead, widow isnt even the best tank buster.

As a Hanzo main since launch… It has literally always been 250 damage on a headshot.
There is nothing special about Hanzo, he has the same headshot multiplier as everyone else at 2.0x damage, except Widow who has a headshot multiplier of 2.5x on a headshot.
The only difference since launch is now there are 250HP heroes with armor, which Hanzo cannot headshot due to the armor.
