Hanzo feels like trash

No lie, I have my games where I pop off and land all my shots back to back until they go sombra and other games its like I cant hit anything and people still go sombra anyway. The second I go widow or ashe, its a breeze. No hassle, large forgiving bullets, consistent and high burst damage with way better ultimates than dragons. Hanzo didn’t get the one shot back, he’s just able to one shot 4-5 more characters. all while losing consistency and a much slower fire rate. Hanzo has never felt worse, Ive been playing this game since OW1 release and I can confirm hanzo is the worst he’s ever been despite having some more power to his one shots. All it takes is a sombra or anyone that actually knows how to strafe and you literally cant kill anything. The amount of effort to get those one shots in a hyper mobile meta is just miserable. Juno adding speed on everything and lucio boosting everyone, its impossible to land any shots with hanzo. Its never been this bad with hanzo but I now classify him as the worst hero in the game. Heck even genji who I rarely play and I also considered the worst hero, now has it better than hanzo. This is just sad, killing a hero off just because people hate getting one tapped by hanzo. Just rework hanzo please, Im totally fine without the one shot, just make him consistent and a threat at medium to close range thats all I ask.

Most people have an issue with storm arrow, Im totally fine with removing this ability. Just give hanzo a faster fire rate, no movement penalty and faster projectiles and hes going to be a great duelist. Remove storm arrows and give hanzo a close ranged ability instead like a sword or something. It’s already in the lore, it’s not impossible to change hanzo into a more samurai assassin playstyle.

So what you’re saying, is those bullets should be smaller.

It took me 2 games on Ashe to out perform my 8yrs on Hanzo and I don’t play Ashe or hit-scan at all.

Ashe is VERY strong though, I honestly think she is the strongest DPS in the game at the moment by a sigificant margin.

I agree hitscan snipers are overtuned.

Those, and everything else in the game that was increased in the mango lust patch of season 9.

I genuinely doubt that’s ever going to happen.

Because of movement acceleration having no better solutions.

Unless you personally got a spare $50 Million dollars burning a hole in your pocket that you wanna give to Blizzard.

Ashe’s hitscan only has a 20% smaller radius than Hanzo’s projectile arrow…

… yeah.

It never will.

It does not need a solution. And the solution would ironically be movement acceleration. :joy:

I wish.

That said, I could see Widow getting her projectile size reduced.

Like they may get a drop on me once or twice or I may get tired  but overall I destroy them mostly in ways they often b come useless.

I still prefer this Hanzo over the non-OHK one.

The reason Hanzo still feels bad is because everything else around him got better/easier. It’s harder for him to hit shots because they can move like crazy with way less penalty to their aim because of projectile size increases. The fire rate nerf makes this worse because we often don’t get a chance for a second full charge shot — so not only are we expected to have higher accuracy than before, we’re also expected to do it under much more pressure than before.
Basically, we’re playing by the harder S8 rules (in a further nerfed state), while everyone else is isn’t.

What they should do is revert the charge rate nerf, and bring his Storm Arrows down to 4, and maybe revert his HP to 250. He would still be weaker than S8, but he would be much better than he is now. He is nigh unplayable in GM scrims.

If they wanna go crazy, they could buff his primary damage and fire rate, and give him damage fall-off to 115 damage minimum, making him a threat at close-mid range, while making him much less effective at long range.

Bro don’t garbage the game with bad ideas :pensive:

What’s bad about a larger playerbase, at the expense of a few content creators getting mad?

Nah nah movement acceleration is garbage

Can you imagine zen having it his head will go to antartica.

Stop burning the forest  for simple issues.

Oh I’m not talking about adding movement acceleration.

I’m saying they made projectiles bigger, to deal with a lack of movement acceleration.

No they made it for console to hit pharah and lessen the difference but the gap is stillarge.

They should just make other heroes like the 225hp ones get more health again and buff hanzo in some way to make him better, and then its all good, they have just no clue what they are doing, a few seasons back it was all about removing one shots and yet they forgot some like Widow but didn’t miss Hanzo, and now one shots are partially back because of the genius idea to nuke some “Problematic mobility heroes”, yet, the meta is dive, its such a bad season.

they switch, you switch, this is how the game was designed. If you no swap, you lose.

This topic is not about switching, its about hanzo being absurdly difficult to play for no reason when other heroes in the game have way more forgiveness and lethality. There is no reason to ever pick hanzo, literally no reason to ever pick him over any other dps in the game. His consistency went down the drain and his fire rate heavily affected his kill and duel potential. I also mention reworking hanzo at this point and making the hero more of a consistent duelist over a hero with the potential to one shot once in a blue moon.

The developers make fun of the world, if they want to turn Hanzo into a sniper, let him do it all the way, let him one shot 300 hp characters like Window furthermore adding more velocity to his arrows.

Because right now the only way to do something with this character and flank and play by avoiding a maximum and as far as possible group combat. The character is so fragile, so slow in his shots and movements, so inconsistent that he is completely useless in close-up combat.

All the characters in the game have more damage and ease of to shot compared to him. And even as a long-distance sniper he inconsistent and less good that Widow

He the worst character in the game right now.
