Leaving a a non-competitive game should result in absolutely 0 penalties. Sometimes you just aren’t having fun and don’t want to stick around for another few rounds. Leavers are always backfilled immediately, & there are no stakes in these game types. So, being down 1 teammate for less than 5 minutes doesn’t necessarily matter. I’d rather just be able to leave & requeue & try my luck at getting a different map or game-mode.
And, I’d absolutely love to see the option to backfill in competitive games that’ve suffered leavers. I feel like this’d help solve a lot of issues.
And ! Something that’d absolutely help avert people from leaving in a general sense; a map/game-mode selector, exactly like the ones present in so many other similar games. Sometimes I just feel like playing certain maps, or I feel like I’ve gotten the same map over and over again, or I haven’t seen any of my favorites in a long time. I’d just really like the option to be able to select the maps & game-modes I’m queued for myself
