I’m curious to know more about the new hero like the rest of you. But I figured I’d make a fun thread! Is there any voice actor, or any kind of voice, you wish Hammond to be voiced by?
Personally, I know this is insane. But Terry Crews has visited blizz, and I’m pretty sure he expressed interests in voicing a character before. Terry Crews for Hammond’s voice actor please.
I want a really low, raspy voice. With really evil but silly voice lines.
I mean, if he built his mech in Junkertown (possible?) he might’ve gotten some of their craziness.
He can’t talk, only squeak, but I want his internal dialogue to be voiced by Max von Sydow or Michael Ironside.
If he doesn’t sound like this guy, I’m quitting

In my mind:
That would be another great voice for him honestly.
I mean if we’re going for ridiculous less go for it. Give Hammond a little “translator” around his neck and when he speaks I want him to sound like Jeff Kaplan…I mean imagine.
I just want squeaks.
Even better, it changes your voice on voice chat to sound like Jeff. Just imagine all of the “Hello, I’m Jeff from the Overwatch team” over chat.
I expect they’ll have a voice for Hammond. You have to remember that Activision-Blizzard want you to waste your money on the slot machines loot boxes, and voice lines constitute a large portion of the garbage drops nobody wants. A hero who doesn’t speak can’t really have many voice lines cluttering up the drop tables and I doubt Blizzard can get away with another instance of Bastion nonsense where “Beep! Beep! Beep!” is a legitimate drop.
I hope to God he has a baritone voice. I don’t think I can stand squeaky voices.
I could think of something like Stephen Hawking used. He is a Hamster after all.
But an actual voice? I don’t know.
I am sure Hammond does not speak.
But his mech does. And he always complains. That would be a true comedy.
Judging by his laugh I can’t imagine him speaking. He has the kind of squeaky laugh that you only really hear from non-speaking rodents, know what I mean?
Now I’m picturing him talking like Stephen Hawking which is also funny.
