Hammond's effortless ability to stall is unfair

So many games have been prolonged by Hammond and his ability to stall. It’s not fun to play against. Lucio is a great staller, who is hard to hit and has lots of mobility, but he’s also a low-health hero. If you catch him, he’s done for.

Not for Hammond. Sure, if it’s crunch time and you have two people on point, you might be able to take him down, but his health pool and shields allow him to survive more than long enough for his teammates to come back. This is frustrating, to have an intense team fight ruined by a character who can zip on and off point.

And even if he dies, as long as his team is on point, he can zoom right back in. Mobility is one of the strongest things in this game and he pairs it with a high health pool.

Not to mention that you’ll usually not have time to switch to mei or mccree during an intense overtime, so you’re screwed. It’s a cheap way to prolong overtime.

Fun tip, CC will stop him

The issue is if its overtime and you have no CC you are kinda screwed

Hmm, maybe forcing people to switch to heroes like Brig and McCree all the time is probably not a good idea? Probably.

You don’t always have time to switch, at which point you’re screwed. Not to mention that if nobody on your team is good at the two heroes that will 100% stop him (Mei and McCree), you’re also screwed.

That could be said for anyone if you dont play their counters

Well the person switched to ball so :man_shrugging:

Shocker

Shooting him is something I see people tend to overcomplicate. If there is a hammond, it is not imposible to shoot him and focus him.

It’s quite difficult if he has a good spin angle on the point and he’s knocking you back over and over while you have to stay on point to keep overtime going.

To be fair there are a lot of other heroes that can be countered/outplayed without having to change heroes. Reaper, Junkrat, Zen, Winston, and lots of other heroes don’t require a team switch to counter them 99% of the time

Problem with ball is if you don’t run CC, he is pretty much one of the hardest heroes to punish in the game

Well then CC him, then you can shoot him

Also its not really that hard, he spins in a predictable path

The point is that with his large health pool and shield, by the time you kill him, the rest of his team will be back.

Why is it Hammond’s fault you guys don’t have CC (like you don’t even need CC to stop a Hammond you need any form of burst damage).

He is super easy to hit even without CC

If someone switches to hammond last minute to stall, you won’t always have time to switch to a cc hero

Read the rest of my post

You want everyone to be CC heroes or something? And of course he’s not that hard to hit, but he has no critbox either. Imagine if Winston’s Primal Rage didn’t have a critbox. It might actually be good.

IDK he ususally doesn’t last too long in my games. He dies pretty quick.

Yeah, he’s easy enough to hit, but again, he has a large health pool. And he can swing on and off point, in the air, and so on.

You realize you’re saying that about everyone in GM… right? Because that’s where Wrecking Ball is the most used.

I just think it’s a team problem if you guys can’t focus him down, as I said he never lasts long because more than one person at a time is shooting at him.

100% stop him and you leave out Sombra…
