I know there’s been a multitude of topics already posted on this subject, but i’m adding my own into the mix as clearly the issue is still unsolved and the problem is on-going. My account still does not even have the Wolf Pup charm despite overkilling the criteria to own it on the challenge log.
Currently, since the 31st of October, the Halloween Terror 2023 Challenges are broken and are missing from the interface as well as not being tracked. This is incredibly unfortunate, as i’ve spent the last 2 days completing all of the challenges only to understand that the tracking is broken.
At the rate it’s at, it isn’t going to be fixed before the event ends and this is an massive issue, as every player who has worked tirelessly to farm out the challenges is not getting their rewards. We’re talking about hours of grinding, farming and emotional turmoil, for some people it was a breeze to farm the Hero of Light title, others didin’t have the time, etc. I for one, for example, did it with a Reinhardt and 2 bots. But it’s just to illustrate the point that a lot of player investment has been put into the event.
Blizzard has usually not retroactively applied rewards, so if there is no chance of Blizzard giving those who have earned the rewards the said rewards, i suggest one of three different options :
- Fix the challenges and extend the Halloween Terror 2023 event to the 7th of November, allowing people to have more ample time to get the rewards.
- Give out ALL of the rewards to everyone who logged in and played the game modes during the event period if there is no way to track the challenges being done.
- Give the rewards to those who have evidence whether it be screenshots, replays or match histories for the harder challenges and offer everyone else the basic who played during the event time the basic event challenge rewards. (Such as the Wolf Charm)
If no solutions or options are available, i would HIGHLY recommend that at the very least, Blizzard learns from this mistake and re-runs all of the rewards from this year on the next year’s Halloween Terror to make sure all players have the equal opportunity to earn the title, weapon charm, and so on. (I’m expressing concern towards this as the re-runs of weapon charms have been near non-existent and the Zeus voicelines/titles did not return the last time that the event was around)
