Halloween Junkenstein's Lab

This is my first post ever; I never make posts about this game bad or good. But I just had to make a post about the new gamemode Junkenstein’s lab because it is SO GOOD. It is everything that the previous gamemode shouldve been, the mercy mythic gamemode where overwatch and talon heroes swap and you pick “augments”. Those were role specific and too generic, which made it boring and unimpactful. Having hero-specific augments makes it so refreshing and fun and it’s everything I could’ve asked for. Genuinely I am having a great time with the gamemode and I hope they implement something like this into the main game, or if not then I hope they make a gamemode where this is permanent. It’s probably the most fun I’ve had in overwatch in awhile (which is really saying something…). What are your guys’ thoughts about the gamemode?

It is definitely the best PvP event mode we have ever had and it is not even close. I love that it adds more skill and depth to Overwatch with genuine choice and strategy. I am going to miss this once it leaves. I will probably only play this mode until it is gone.

I finished all the challenges in one sitting because it’s so fun

My favorite has been Kiriko with the explosive kunai and the mutation that gives her three kunai per shot

I’m having way too much fun playing Dva to the point I legitimately might avoid playing anything but this game mode this season.

The only thing I hate: Leavers, in almost every game I played so far (10+), I had leavers (EU)

I’m with you junkersteins Lab really hits different. This is the kind of gameplay Overwatch 2 needed from the start. The hero-specific augments make every match feel meaningful, and it just flows so much better than those generic role-based ones. It’s refreshing to actually feel like each hero matters and plays the way they’re supposed to.

Honestly, after playing this, it’s hard to go back to the regular modes. Blizzard’s gotta see how much people are loving this and at least think about keeping it around, or maybe working something like it into the main game. They’ve finally struck a balance between fun and challenge…it’d be a huge miss to let that slip away.
