Half of current game balance state problems can be solved by Junkrat

Just reverting Junkrat’s Grenade size, Pharah’s AoE splash damage and knockback will actually help a lot with GOATs.

GOATs is propped up by AoE healing. AoE damage should be the answer to AoE healing.

I don’t believe that the pre-nerf concussion mine has any place in the game if Junkrat is going to have two of them.

That wasnt the nerf that we are talking about, we are talking about the one that reduced his Primary fire size

Those projectiles are the slowest projectiles in the game - even slower than Symmetra’s alt fire - plus they arc, requiring much more calculation to score direct hits. The slow moving projectiles with audible and visual queues are meant to warn you that you’ll need to alter your strategy from “just walk through” to something tactical.

The fact that anyone thinks they should be able to go through a choke point without taking a barrage of fire is hilarious. Junkrat is an area denial hero, and he’s strongest when he can predict where the enemy will go - like choke points and capture points - and weakest when out in the open.

“Unfun to play against” is when you see Hanzo shoot at your teammate and miss, but magically headshot you instead. Walking over/into a bouncing grenade that’s barely faster than a Symmetra turret in flight is on you.

Read the OP character limit

No, he never was a good hero. The only moment junkrat was a slightly good hero was after that huge buff on his Rip Tire.

He is good in low ranks, i agree, but never in Masters or GMs

Didnt notice (or just forgot)

But still the Nade size needs to be reverted

He was fine after the Rip-tire nerfs, even in Master and GM, it was until they nerfed the primary that he pretty much died

You act like GOATs is in every ELO. It only happens a lot in Grandmaster or Top 500 matches because they copy pro meta.

Low ELO hardly do GOATs and if they do. They be doing it wrong with no team work.

I act like someone thats angry that heroes are getting nerfed to trash in a failed attempt to kill a Comp, instead of buffing heroes (That need buffs) that could solve the issue

All they are doing is making more and more F-tier heroes

There are so many problems in this patch! I do not know where to begin! The game play needs to slow down a bit! It is way too fast!!! as a healer i can’t keep running around and pick up dead players left right and centre!!! it’s crazy how fast the game play is going!

it’s not fast. It’s not even close to speed of previous shooter generations.

But compared to battleroyales - maybe.

We Junkrat mains have been saying this forever.

But problem is that people can’t see giant red floating balls of glory coming at their faces and so called for nerfs to that. So now we have Schrödinger’s projectile where it sometimes hits and sometimes doesn’t.

Make him viable again please blizzard!!!

Seeing as my top played are Hog and Zarya, no I am not. nice try however

Hog is one of my most played too. So what? The mentality of low skilled heroes should be just as viable as high skilled has nothing to do with who you main.

Every hero should be viable equally. There is no such thing as a “low skilled hero”. In fact, I think that the weaker a hero is the more skill he requires.
You’d have to be a GM Junkrat to get the same value out of him as a masters Hanzo these days…

You altitude would pretty much shrink the game down to four heroes where everyone rages about how high skill you need to even get the privilege to play them:
Tracer, Genji, Hanzo, Widow

The dirty little secret is that each of those are not hard at all considering how powerful they are.

For god sake no dont do this

No. Weaker heroes aren’t harder heroes. That’s something that people can’t seem to differentiate, but they’re two individual things.

Second, no. High skill cap heroes aren’t supposed to dominate low skill cap heroes for every tier or every situation. But generally speaking, when you’re trying harder, you should achieve more. a person studying to become a doctor will spend years and years practicing and learning and training and eventually will become one. It’s fairly common and acceptable to expect them to earn more than a guy who’s working at mcdonalds flipping burgers.

That’s just an overexaggerated example so don’t post again talking about but this hero isn’t equal to that and their difference isn’t that big and all that.

When a hero is harder to master, and harder to use, there should be a reason for that hero to become viable. Otherwise, if a much less skill demanding hero can do the same with half the effort, why on earth would you bother spending time learning that harder hero? There’s no point to it. That’s the fair balancing system.

We have heroes who are best for certain niche situations or particular comps. We have heroes that are generally better when you master them. So while i don’t want genji to be the dominator of the meta for all tiers, I most certainly expect him to be a much more viable general option than junkrat for most situations in higher tiers where people spent enough time to master him. Junkrat can have his viability for choke points and certain specific comps instead.

My attitude is hoping the game to turn into a mode where you get results if you practice enough with a difficult to utilize hero and become good at it. And not be hard countered by a braindead support that took me 5 minutes to get the hang of everything there is in her kit.

but most people here want Easier heroes to be viable and strong all the time, because they just don’t have to spend any effort whatsoever to master them. They can pick them anytime and contribute more than any other dps or tank or healer, with them. They want everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. That’s what i’m having problems with.

You can do some nutty shots with Junkrat that require a lot of skill. You can’t just spam to be effective above silver with Junkrat. You have to aim and predict a lot of the time, and you can’t even accidentally one-shot like Hanzo. His projectiles are fairly easy to avoid.
