Had enough of people leaving and not being able to switch what I am playing

It already sucks enough having a team member leave but it also sucks when you feel like you cant switch to make a better comp and still have a chance.

The addition of Role Queue to Competitive just further reinforced how necessary it is for Blizzard to add backfill to Competitive.

Competitive needs backfill

Having a competitive mode without anything in place to help a team recover from a leaver/disconnect is an absolute travesty. Blizzard needs to add backfill to competitive. If someone leaves or disconnects from a match, then someone else can load in to take their place. Have a “reserves bench” system in place for if the disconnected player reconnects (thus allowing for them to avoid the leaver penalty) and give them the option to rejoin the match at the start of a new map. It would completely resolve the leaver problem, and it would also help reduce queue times. It’s a win win and I’m baffled as to why Blizzard have not done this yet.
