I’m guessing they have thrown actively preventing this out the window. It seems ever other game is full of just blatant aimhacking, its absolutely nuts.

See here is when having not private profiles come in handy.
They could be hacking yes, but they could also be really good and have 5k hours on Hanzo.
But since their profile is private, nobody knows…

Aim botting can be used with zero risk on throw-away accounts – if the hacker gets caught, only the account gets banned, and the cheater just makes a new account and plays again. The current OW2 free-to-play business model has no real user accountability, and therefore, no lasting penalties.

Hardstuck 100% acc, the whole OW discord complains about the same thing so Im guessing its not just me.
It does? Ive been a regular there for almost 5 years now and its never seemed to be that big of a topic, usually when people talk about cheating its about ximming, and the topic only gets brought up a few times a day, which is quite little considering the server has 500k members

Now heres the thing: I genuinely believe hacking is more of a problem than most people in the community acknowledge/admit to. But i also think most players are (and this isnt a bad thing) unaware of how most modern cheats actually work.
A lot of people have the image in their head of someone hard locking onto a specific point on an enemy and hitting 100% of their shots, blatantly staring at them through walls, etc.
Thats not how a lot of modern cheats work. Why? Because its painfully obvious to see when someone aims like a god.
Modern cheats are far, far more subtle than this. They influence your aim, and dont hard lock. Theyll intentionally miss shots, or only a % of them are head shots. Its not uncommon to see some that use literal machine learning to guide the players actions, with the goal being to look as human as possible. These hacks dont make you a god, but they make you a smidge better than you actually are and give you an advantage.
Anyone who genuinely thinks they can visibly see these hacks “Because id know a hacker if i saw one!” is absolutely fooling themselves.
So while i dont doubt that hacking is more common than a lot realize- I also have my suspicions when i see someone going “I SEE them all the time!”. You do? Neat- Should be easy to show someone you believe is blatantly hacking.

Definitely, people should be aware of how cheats ACTUALLY are so they can ACTUALLY work on reporting them and getting rid of them
also in response to the OP, the fact they just straight up lied about the discord “constantly” talks about it kinda just makes the post seem void

Exactly, but they’re more concerned about who “said” what in the chat-box, than actual gameplay. I got silenced for pointing out someone was hacking, freedom of speech, the devs. trying to be funny.
Yea it seems pretty obvious now that the ones defending it here are hacking themselves. There is no way you can look at all the posts made on here discord and reddit and think that it isnt a problem.

Even if it’s cheat, it’s so poorly set up/used that I’m don’t think it matters
But overall I wouldn’t give more than 15% that it’s cheat
It is 100% an aimbot and it clearly contributed to the Bastion winning the game.
Yes, it is “poorly set up,” but it did matter and it did give the player an unfair advantage over everyone else in the lobby.

See, I like playing against cheaters, so when I beat them cause they actually suck and have no game sense, I can rub it in
I got accused of walling by a reaper in QP in one of my first PC qp games ever lol.
I would rather just assume all private profiles are cheaters

The private profile thing is annoying I wish they’d get rid of it every game everything is private can’t gauge who is good or bad at what until your in game and then find out ok so they are bad or. They are good
