I just learned that when Brigitte gets hacked her passive ability Inspire is not turned off meaning that she can still heal as long as there are enemies to hit.
I feel like this needs to be changed mainly because Sombra’s Hack disables Lucio’s Heal/Speed Aura.

Lucio’s aura is his Crossfade ability. Brigitte’s inspire is a passsive that is triggered not by pressing a button. One should get hacked, the other one shouldn’t.

Briggs inspire is not an active healing ability.She literally inspires people with a bleeding flesh wound to fight on,and that’s how she healz them.You can’t hack thru that.

Technically, when Inspire is activated, the ability is over in that instant. The healing lingers, regardless whether brig is dead, is no longer in range, ETC.
Hack wouldn’t be able to cancel it mid-way.

What I want is that when Brigitte is hacked she isn’t able to activate Inspire in the first place.
I can’t support this because hack should not disable Lucio’s passive aura. That’s crap. Hack is way too oppressive against Lucio.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
I’d prefer the opposite, where Lucio doesn’t lose aura when getting hacked. He’s enough of a sitting duck without Soundwave or Wallride; there’s no reason for hack to shut him down so completely. They really need to change his aura to an always-on passive with the Crossfade only changing the properties of that aura.

It’s activated by hitting someone, you can’t stop her from hitting things
as a brig defender, this shouldve been in the game from the start, much like brigs interactions with doomfist and rein
would not impact brigitte much, its just something that shouldve been in the game from the start

You need to keep in mind that Lucio’s aura is not his passive. Wall ride is. And as every passive that requires a button to press it it gets hacked.
His aura is his crossfade ability which is activated by default at the start of a match. It’s like Hammond’s ball form. When he dies he respawns in his ball form (active ability) which can be hacked.
Lucio respawns with one of his songs (active ability) which can be hacked.
For Brigitte it’s a bit more confusing. Her passive does not require a button to activate. It’s active all the time but only shows effect when she does damage.
It’s like Doomfist’s passive. His shield gain ability is not hacked per se. But the way how he can make use of his passive (dealing damage with his abilities) is disabled when hacked. If his primary fire gave him shield as well he would be able to gain HP even when hacked.
For Brigitte it’s the same. The way how she can make use of her passive gets hacked indeed (shield bash and whip shot). The difference to Doomfist is that her primary fire also triggers the passive.
If you want Inspired to stop completely when hacked a hack has to cause Brigitte not to be able to attack at all anymore. Which would be way too much.

I understand that it is different and not something they can change on a whim, but I still think it is an issue that needs to be addressed.
There I agree. In my opinion all passives should be disabled when hacked and it should also stop shield HP from regenerating for 6 seconds. Except when an EMP was used. Since she destroys shield HP an additional blocking on the regain would be too much.
Like hack needs to stop even more abilitys…
Im so ever thankful that Sombra remains a low picked hero. She has the most powerfull CC in all of OW. Id rather be sheildbashed every 7 secounds then having a Sombra run around my games.

I wouldn’t want anyone, not even Brigitte to suffer the same fate as Lucio. We don’t want 100% of our hero removed by a 0.65 second ability.

Inspire is a Heal over Time, once applied.
She can no longer proc a renewal on Inspire once she’s been hacked. Only after the duration of hack has passed can she renew it.
They don’t work the same. Bri’s passive is more like Reapers passive to self heal.
(which hack also does NOT stop)
They are both activated by dmg, unlike Lucio’s being activated by an ability.
