Hackers change their name to be the same as someone else in the match?

Just played a game of comp where a Widowmaker was running his hacks on ultra-nuclear mode. I reported the guy, but when I check my recent players now there are two players with the same name, and the hacker’s name is not there.

Both players are level 25, but have different icons and different amounts of total XP - but both profiles are private. I can’t remember if they were duo’d

Is this common? There’s no way it’s a coincidence that his name has changed.

I would imagine cheaters and cheat-creators are going to be in full swing before the “new and improved” cheat detection is implemented.

That and all the “I hate forced role queue so I’m going to cheat now because I don’t care if I’m banned; I quit” people… which is A LOT. I find that really funny because for the past 3-5 months people have done nothing but make thread after thread about how role queue will save this game and how it’s all needed and such… but now it’s like all those people left the forums or they waffled for some reason.

Most of them aren’t on the forums, because they’re busy playing with their new mode on the PTR.

Check your replays. Watch the POVs to find which one is the hacker. Record it and send it to Blizzard, they’re gonna be able to find which one of them was the player you say according to their logs, position on the map and weapon accuracy

So start a new topic? The mods don’t like necro threads. I’m also posting necro, so people are aware the moment they read your post.
