Custom Games allows us to play 2-2-2 in OW2!!! Also, if you hate the small map pool, you can enable all maps! All the 2-2-2 enjoyers need to go play in Custom Games! Ramattra is not locked behind a battle pass in Custom Games, everyone has him unlocked!

Best to ignore those anywho. The cycle of just logging in for challenges is suuuuper easy to fall into.

Yea i never bother with the challenges. I play the heroes I enjoy and then log out when the matches go to crap.

Mhm, I’m just saying that for those who do that may benefit from breaking from the cycle. I’m spreading the good word of playing for fun rather than rewards lol

I have not seen any myself either when I looked, but you can make your own 2-2-2 preset and make a game for people to join.
Would be pretty funny if 80% of players just did Custom Games because they don’t like 1-2-2. Most people think OW2 cannot be played in 2-2-2 format, but they forgot about the Custom Game maker.
There is definitely some other cool modes in Custom Games as well, but looks like the Workshop is currently disabled, so people can’t make anything new as far as workshop code goes.
Honestly would be a really fun time, but unfortunately, if you wanted to have a genuine 6v6 experience, forcing people to play 6v6 role que would be impossible, here’s exactly what would happen if you made this lobby open for people to join
- If people join, then the first few will pick whatever role is deemed the most fun
- If more people join enough to have a full lobby, they would leave soon after just cause they don’t want to play the less popular roles
- You never get to experience the real 6v6 gameplay because of people coming and going way too often.
True but fun if you just want to shoot at stuff.
What do you mean forcing them to play 6v6 RQ? Anyone who joins a game titled “Overwatch 2-2-2” obviously likes 6v6 role queue.
You can shift people around so they can play a certain role. I will say that it isn’t as good for people who only like playing 1 role; I think this Custom Game 2-2-2 RQ thing is mainly for flex players.
I agree for the first response, but for the second response, it answers the statement I mentioned in the first quote box.
“forcing people to play 6v6 role que would be impossible” because anyone who wants to play and will only play “tank” for example, will just waste everyone’s time joining and realizing they can’t play the only role they want to play. and flex players are a myth made by blizzard to get people to get as many priority passes as possible.
good luck finding 11 other people to play it with you for an entire match

So I tried today for like an hour and I was able to get 5 people at most in the lobby, but I think this is because most people don’t realize that 2-2-2 can be played in Custom Games.
The easiest thing would be for Blizzard to add 2-2-2 as a permanent arcade game mode next to Open Queue, but for some reason they have not done that yet.

I could only see it as an arcade mode in the cycle - would be nice if it includes 2cp too

Sounds amazing. Too bad you will never find enough players, or I would do this myself. Maybe they could put better AI in the game so bots can fill in the blanks.

I tried it in season 1, two games and stop cause the tanks still ruined the game.
I did this with a bunch of friends back in Season 1.
It was fun but not really balanced.
