Good afternoon. My friends and I have been sitting around for the last week knocking out the title “Guardian of the Underworld”. Having passed today the final stage, the 3rd most difficult mode, we did not get the coveted title. We re-entered the game and saw that all the tasks for the event were gone, and we still have not received the title. This is especially unpleasant news for us, because our entire Discord server has been watching us go through the event for a long time. We are very upset and are waiting for the problem to be resolved. Any proof I don’t know how to provide at this time. Screenshots are unlikely to help.

That’s right, having been in this very group while we closed the third of the three required maps, we put a lot of effort and time into getting this very valuable achievement and we as true fans of Blizzard games and the Overwotch franchise in particular, would like to receive our well-deserved reward. You have our account information and to make sure we deserve this achievement you can!

So you beat it at the same time the event ended? or did you actually beat the 3 modifier challenges in Legendary?
I made the mistake of thinking that I had to beat 3 out of the 4 challenges to get the title but in reality, you had to beat only the 3 modifier challenges in Legendary, the original Underworld mission didn’t count towards it. I did get the title though, sorry to hear that.

Yes, 3 modifiers passed exclusively on the legendary. There are screenshots with the inscription “victory” for our friends, but there is no value in them considering that there is no difficulty level specified. I would fundamentally like to find a solution, I’m sure the developers have the ability to track every game started and finished and the outcome of it. We honestly fulfilled all the conditions of the event. Registered the game - win.
Good for you buddy, thanks for your interest and support. I hope the developers don’t give up on us, we’re not asking for anything special, just to check the game logs. We really tried and spent a lot of time.

It sounds like the former. In Overwatch 1, event challenges (e.g. for holidays) never went away – so you could still obtain them if you were mid-match when the event ended. But in Overwatch 2, the challenges disappear immediately after the event ends, so you can’t obtain them if you’re mid-match.
IMO these challenges just shouldn’t disappear. We know they’re planning to rerun most events anyways (short of crossover/promotional events, and hero release events) – so they should just sit in your Profile instead similar to OW1 seasonal challenges.
Alternatively, a grace period between an event ending, and the challenges becoming unavailable (e.g., 60 minutes). Or just tracking the challenge progress on your internal profile data, so that even if the challenge isn’t available anymore Support can see you would have gotten it otherwise. 
Definitely very unfortunate though. I had also gotten the Underworld Guardian title before the event ended. Hopefully they’ll make tweaks to future events, since I don’t see why these challenges need to go away after the event ends – they’re going to rerun it eventually.

Yeah, I know what you mean. In that case, let’s disable the ability to register a new game 30 minutes before the end of the event? Sounds silly, doesn’t it? We logged in following the rules and fulfilling all the conditions. But we didn’t get a reward. That’s a shame. Thank you for your support!
