My frames per second have dropped and started fluctuating between 170-230 fps. I previously maintained an easy 300 fps on 1080p, 100% render scale, and low model/texture detail with anti alias set to SMAA Medium. I’ve been using various tools to monitor the GPU power and for this video am showing the measurements from NZXT CAM. I noticed that in the hero select screen, my GPU load is at 100%. The moment the world map loads all of the player models, my GPU load drops to 50-75%. This is strange because I would expect those numbers to be in reverse. I have an ASUS Strix GTX 1070 that I overclocked to 2100 MHz with 4400 MHz memory clock using MSI Afterburner. Core voltage is maxed out to 100% with the power limit maxed out at 112%. While playing Overwatch, my card’s voltage is reported at 1.09V, which seems normal. I played at these exact settings since August 2017. This issue just started occurring this month, April 2018. I reinstalled my GPU drivers and Overwatch with no remedy for the problem. I am on an Intel i7-7700 with 16 GB 2400MHz RAM, so I don’t think I’m being bottlenecked. This goes without saying but I have made absolutely no problem changes to any config or hardware, except dropping the clock speed down to 2k from 2.1k. Any thoughts?
Strange I’ve always played at 170-230 fps on a GTX 1070 rog strix.
Did you check bios for any changes?
No changes to BIOS. It is also updated. I disabled HPET in Device Manager as well. I am not sure why this would happen seemingly out of nowhere.
This is how resource usage looks at 230 fps:

I’ve never disabled hpet but according to some it doesn’t make a difference since it’s disabled by default on Windows 10. Try resetting everything to factory and overclock again, with hpet enabled.
Why do u need this OC anyways ?! difference between 270 and 290 fps ? Im saying that cose im playing on 1440p/144hz monitor and im having this 144fps all the time with the same VGA without oc ( some of the settings are on low ,textures and models on high) . Try without OC , cose this 2100 /4400 its looking too much
