My friend and I play have played OQ for 4 seasons in a row and he was new at first but is not anymore. He started out ~1300 but is now ~1900. I have been pretty consistently 2200-2400. We have never been able to do placements together but always can play when we both get placed for the last 3 seasons. This past season he ended 1956 and I ended 2236. It still won’t let us do placements together this season even though we ended within 300 SR. Can anyone make sense of this?
I had this problem. I was boosting my friends’ acc and my friend was deranking my acc so we can play together. When we reached SR range, we still couldnt play 
We had to boost/throw more matches till it finally worked
