Got Suspended For Calling Out a Cheater

So, normally, I don’t talk much in game. During one match, however, something needed to be said. It was in a ranked match.

I noticed early on, this one person playing as Cassidy was sitting just outside their spawn, not moving for some time.

I was playing as Sombra, standing completely still, slightly outside of the battle, waiting for teammates to respawn, to prevent being spread out…

Suddenly, a Cassidy came running around a corner, fired one shot and insta-killed me. This was peculiar, as there was no way he could have known I was there.

I respawned, and was talking to someone on discord, this time, I was no where near the battle. Same Cassidy came running towards me, and did the exact same, without a single movement from me. So, clearly something was up. I said in open chat, ‘nice cheats’. And a player on the other team asked who. I replied that it was the Cassidy. By this point, other players on the team had noticed, too, and chimed in. Someone else on our team thought more than one player was cheating, but I only saw the one. Their team was defending him, though. So, they may have been a group.

He had a 97% accuracy rating. Replays show it was blatant. I decided to call it a night, after that. A couple hours later, I received an email saying I’ve been suspended for ‘inappropriate communication’. Hilariously enough, nothing I said was inappropriate.

I don’t see this getting fixed, as Blizzard doesn’t have an actual support team, so yay.

Why you calling them out… That was a dumb thing to do. Just report and move on.

Also, you can be suspended for calling someone out in 1 match. You’ll have been reported a lot in previous matches too. As it works on a number of matches reported in basis.

Past matches will have cause that, as it’s literally the only way you’ll get suspended for it.

Calling them out is stupid, and it benefits no one. Just report them and move on with your life.

Sounds like something other then chat suspension.

You probably throw a lot.

Thay’s where most of your reports come from.

The communication one was probably the tipping point.

Didn’t get suspended for one thing stop the lying, it’s making other people scared of bans when these posts are nothing but BS.

You’re a little new here Robo.

So I’m sorry to say, you probably can’t tell the difference and don’t know the environment enough to comment.

Most of us here on the forums have been around for a long long LONG time. We’ve seen it all and have been through most of it.

Most of us are, with high post counts, are veterans and have had countless discussions sharing experiences and ideas with on another.

So…might I add, stop discrediting our stories and wisdom when you don’t have any to even add to the conversation.

Been here since OW2 released, left after getting banned from the forums for a week for politics talk and decided to put the game down and just came back, I’m also allergic to BS.

And I’ve been here longer.

How about you get active because I racked up most of my posts here during OW2’s inception.

Get to know the players and the environment rather then blindly thinking you somehow know better.

I really do try not to comment but man it’s difficult, like I said been banned before so trying to be nice now as some of they guys here are decent.

Considering they just banned 500,000 players for cheating, there was bound to be players with private cheats.

I could care less how long you’ve been here or posting only judge the poster at the time, jog on kid.

Well I judge more based on what you type.

For example.

You call a lot of players “kid.”

Highly inappropriate.
