Got nothing good to say about 222 as , so far

*Players in the healing role not healing, like at all.
*Getting matches with huge SR differences between players.(1k SR difference )
*People openly saying they dont care anymore.
*Teams burning in flames because certain players are helpless in their role and cant do anything to change anything.
*People with certain skills queuing in the wrong category because of the q time.
*Played 14 matches queued as DPS/Tank, none of them was DPS, and 12 matches were lost.

So ,now you dont really get to play what you want (unless you go walk the dog between matches). You dont get to perform well and enjoy the match.
Im sorry but I cant find the fun anymore.

IMPORTANT : Take that prize off of the healer role. Nobody wants dps /tank specialists queuing for healer just because they get some lootboxes. Thats completely dumb.

I was so hoping that 222 will be the silver bullet, apparently it made things even worse than before. It just doesn’t work. My experience so far has been horrible and i got nothing good to say about it , nothing is cool about 222, nothing has been nice so far.

And did i mention that 222 will force probably the most stale metas ever.

Almost everything you mentioned above are player behavior issues not problems with role queue. And really, most of these are just growing pains that will go away.

The SR difference is a problem that they need to fix, but they can fix it. That isn’t role queue specific, but exactly why we have a beta in the first place.

They are natural developments to the limitations on character choice.

Many of these grievances could be resolved if players choose a role during the few seconds before match began and were able to change to different roles, throughout the match.

I disagree. I saw all of these problems before role queue. These are not new. They are just being noticed.

Most likely due to the option of choosing a 2-2-2 formation having been optional, in the past.

Must keep adding, more matches more loses. Getting queued against ranks that are too high. Always tank, never getting dps, always losing.
Basically, they took all the fun out of the game.
Stuck to playing hog and orisa because i cant play the other tanks, they are too fast paced.

Yup blame 2-2-2 for players individual behaviour so that you can go back to being a selfish 4 dps player…ummmm no

I blame 222 because this kind of stuff didnt happen in such an aggressive manner before.
And what is up with this stupidity , "selfish 4 dps player "

That was the problem with no locked roles… even if you started with 2-2-2 someone would blame the dps for not killing anything then you’d be down a tank…now the other tank says screw solo tanking I’m going dps and the rest is history.

Now you have a job to do and so does everyone else. If dps blows they will continually drop SR. So say you were healing and had gold everything all the time like everyone’s likes to say. You’ll win more than you lose period.
Your SR will ACTUALLY reflect how you are doing and if you continue to blame everyone else for your problems it’s not the game or 2-2-2 or the other players fault it’s you.
I’ve never seen a champion in any sport or a master of any craft Blame their tools. Take some reaponsibilty and open your mind to how 2-2-2 actually saves the game as oppose to using it as another damned excuse.

And the reasons they introduced the role-queue were because of player behaviour issues. Overwatch used to be a game which encouraged switching to adapt to the current situation, and to form team compositions dynamically. This is severely limited with a forced 2-2-2 composition. The current situation may call for a third tank because you are defending your point, but you can’t switch to a third tank…

Anyways, I’m sure some will love 2-2-2 and some will hate it. Either way I’ll sit back and enjoy the drama unfold on the forums.

I’ve got nothing bad to say about 2-2-2

Role queue solved that particular issue. These issues are issues that existed before 2/2/2 and now they also exist after 2/2/2. They aren’t new. And they aren’t caused by 2/2/2.

Is everything perfect now? No, and we didn’t expect it to be. Is it a LOT better now? YES, very YES.

I wouldn’t know… but I’m pretty sure that in 6 months people will still be hating the roleque, and we’ll have another player-base segregation just like there were Pro-Mercy changes versus Pro-some other Mercy changes, versus Pro Mercy 1.x, vs Pro Mercy 2.x etc. I’m expecting people to suffer insults, threats, and a few “kill yourself” as part of the game when the role-queue prevents someone from playing what they want to play… Of course all those things have always been present in Overwatch. Role-queue is just going to be another pet peeve for a lot of people.

Not true

Haven’t happened to me in a lot of matches so far, so I’m inclined to believe is false.

Also haven’t seen anything like that, if anything people are way more positive than before.

Most people pick their roles because they know how to play them so it increases the chances of them knowing how to play them well.

They will eventually go down to their respective level of play.

That means you are not in the level of skill that you belong as a tank. YOu have different SR’s for different roles. Play DPS and see what your level of skill actually is.

You get to play exactly what you want, that’s the point of role que.

Your performance is your own responsibility, and if you don’t enjoy the match that is also on you.

This game is not for you then, there are plenty of other games out there you can play. Or, you could just play QP classic or use LFG to make up the kind of team you want.

About 3/4 of the player base, based on the polls I’ve seen still support role queue. Some people will always hate it, but they are in the minority.

Thank you for calling people out on naivety

Pretty much hit the nail on the head.

25% of the total playerbase is a pretty big minority though. Pissing off 25% of your customers would be absolutely unthinkable in any other business…

told u so!

So, you’d rather piss off 75%. Because 75% do want the role queue. So, taking it away would irritate 3x more people than keeping it.
