First match of the day, got queued as healer. Made the observation enemy tank swapped to shield heavy Rein. Suggested our two snipers swap, because tactically that’s how this game is designed to be played. Ohhh but it’s QP so nobody cares, so why should I care? Decided to not heal and dps as Bap. Got instantly banned before round even finishes.
Yeah I don’t care what format we are playing on, the fact I got instant banned for ‘throwing’ when objectively the round was basically decided already because of the snipers – like what is the point of healing at that stage? Basically to everyone who leaves matches mid-way, you’re 100% in the right. People can cry all they want to. Also here’s another thread about the state of this game’s “ban” system.
I hope this game burns in the inferno.
Edit: Alright, I like to clarify, in all technicality my account is suspended and not actually perma banned.
If you queue as support, the lobby expects you to be their babysitter. The least you could have done was not drawn attention to yourself by asking them to swap in quickplay.
You stacked multiple reports my guy, and not 3-4, probably like 25.
If you do that “IDC, I won’t heal anyone” you get suspended pretty fast yeah. Working as intended.
No it isn’t. Friend and I were playing, he took issue with some slurs this jerk was throwing in chat. He didn’t realize he was arguing with a 5 stack (and this isn’t the only time) and he got suspended mid-game.
I’ve gotten in the same habit. LIke you say something to the mass feeder on the team and the Mercy that has been hard pocketing them pipes up real fast? Oh yeah they’re duo’d. Granted, I don’t say anything to anyone anymore since it just isnt worth it
What are you talking about. It’s always always the guy who got banned that outs himself has having been repeatedly toxic to people. Usually takes about three posts.
No one is virtue signalling, they’ve just seen this routine before.
Previously banned for using the word “useless”, example: your character is being hard countered rn and is useless/not impactful. Point is the ban system is obviously being exploited and requires an overhaul, but until such case happens, mass amount of players are being banned for the most trivial reasons.
Please, I’ve barely spent any time in this forum and I’ve seen every single time someone pipes up about silences or bans it’s instant disbelief and insults to the guy.
Sad part is these people won’t realize there’s a problem until they get silenced or banned in kind.
I’m sure they were perfectly calmly suggesting swaps and never suggesting people were anything but trying their best. Sure.
The point of my comment being that one game does not get you banned.
They have outright stated a group reporting is the same as one person.

There are several things I would change. But my main point is people blame their problems on one game or one group but it’s not that.
If you’d spent more time you’d notice the pattern as well… that’s why we are almost always skeptical about being perfectly fine forever and then suddenly one game dooms you to action.
Idk how you got that info but I’m not making it up. Literally mid-game I got booted. Oh well, I should’ve just left mid match like majority of the player base. It’s the only true solution. Like if nobody cares to win, even in QP, there’s no incentive to stay.
No it’s called being naive. Some people trash talk, they’re used to being able to trash talk for the last 7 years of OW1. Now all of a sudden it’s a problem. Those people out themselves yes.

As for the group report counting as 1 report, i read that noise too. Even if I take them at their word and that’s a big leap of faith to assume anything they do isn’t bugged to hell, I already pointed out, my friends regularly combat any toxic sexist, racist comments. We used to have a scoreboard counting how many idiots we ran into spouting that nonsense. That 5 stack was the last straw that got them silenced, not the first or only straw, I imagine a bunch of small brained bigots reported them for all the prior times too.
That was the “toxic” behavior that they got silenced for. Make it make sense.
