Just hardware ban them and its done. If they wanna smurf so badly they can buy a new system every time.

you realize people could just go get a card for a pc and they would be unbanned as that mac address wouldnt be listed as banned so your logic is technically flawed and what if 2 friends are playing from the same connection

im a gamer but im taking a break from overwatch till venture is gone till season 10…which i hope she gets changes before then
Seriously the amount of smurfs is out of control. I run into so many less than 40 hour accounts playing like GMs. Its especially bad in comp when half the enemy team us smurfs and they are the best players by far, and then when you lose you get hit with a reversal. Smurfs completely mess up the match making.
I would be 100% willing to submit a photo of an ID or something if it would cut down the smurfs, because clearly the whole phone number thing isnt working at all.

And to think, everyone had to put a phone number in so they COULDN’T smurf. But then every cried and Blizzard reversed it.
And now we’re stuck with people who just want to bully less skilled, new players to feel some sense of accomplishment because they couldn’t do it against people at their own level.

Probably encounter a lot less smurfs if there were more new players. I feel like I see the same faces every season in competitive.
Or just deal with it. Smurfs have and always be apart of the game.

you cant tamper with the mac adress embedded with in a lan or wifi card but you can replace a card

I should get a dollar for everytime someone on the forums complains about smurfing.
Smurfs are not the reason you’re hardstuck gold for 8 years.
