What if there is a Winston? What’s the good positioning against Winston and Widow? You can’t stay and fight the Winston because you’re going to die if someone doesn’t help you. And you can’t use any movement ability to get out of his range because it would force you out in the open where you’d immediately die.
What do you do then? I know you have perfect teammates that always keep an eye on you at all times. But what if you didn’t? What do you do then? How do you survive that as a support?
You can replace Winston with Tracer, Genji, Sombra, Dva, Echo, Reaper, Symmetra, and Doomfist and the issue will be pretty much the same.
It is (hog) wild to me that they asserted that they would make every tank similar to Will Ramos, and instead they decided to fundamentally ruin what made him a fun pick.
It is probably fair to say the missed the mark on that goal. Just a touch.

Positioning is not stacking, nor the Widows and Winston players are magically terminators that can never get baited/fail shots my dude.

I agree. As a Tracer main, I have a friend who mains Widow and play just like this with him. You don’t aim to kill all the time, you just force people into Widow’s los and she gets easy picks.
The primary issue with Widow is how impossible she is to kill though. Sightlines are too long for her to not get value before getting dove, IF you can even dive her. Widow would be fine if getting close to her meant certain death, and it was faster to get to her. Then she’d rely entirely on positioning and surprise attacks.
