Good moves in general on the patch.
Reaper and junk probably needed nerfs… buff tanks… tank busters bad… buff tank busters… tank bad…. Just let the tanks play.
Juno and brig needed nerfs but they just buffed lagging supports instead. I do worry about that Moira buff tho but we will see

Mauga double fire requires little to no skill. The rest of his kit including single fire is very skillful.
As is tradition with the dps tank counters….
Playing heros with wide fire spread that specifically melt tanks is unhealthy hero design…reaper, junk, bastian.
The best fix to all these problems is shrinking tank hitboxes and improving range
Or removing all tank counter dps from the game. Bc they run into the issue where when tank counters are too strong…. They have to buff tanks…. But then tanks become too strong and tank counters get buffed……
Literally a dumb cycle.
blizzard still dont understand that continue buffing tanks is not the solution to the tanks counterpicking problem
I dont mind the reaper nerf due to personal biases but idk how junk needed a nerf. I also dont mind the mauga buff becauss that buff enforces more aggressive play.
Anyone complaining about the buffs mauga recieved in this patch, alone, is overreacting.

I meant nerf, I misspoke. But I dont mind the reaper nerfs. The junkrat nerfs are alot worse tbh.
Buffing Mauga is an odd choice.

Ana and Mauga are tank busters
Ana in particular is the main issue for most of the tank balancing in 5v5 due to her ability to render tanks useless and delete them in seconds

I genuinely did not notice that. This is a bit awkward.
Ana is not a take buster. She does not melt tanks faces off.
She does not have a weapon with a wide spread that is particularly effective against tanks with large hit boxes.
However she is a debuff hero…. Ppl always complain about kiri and bap yet they don’t make your hero unplayable….
Ana can make your hero selection unplayable…
So I’ve never understood the argument that Ana is healthier than kiri… makes me lol every time. But I do play Ana and she is fun

Yes but it is far easier to hit tanks with his weapon than squishies……
The design of the weapon rewards you more for blowing up tanks.
The guy does null to tracer and makes rein almost unplayable….
Why does brig need a nerf? Because shes meta?
Reverse power creep to other supports and like shifting other defensive heros to 225hp has slowly made brig better each patch. She never took the same L the other supports did when supports were op.
It’s gotten to the point where picking brig even if you play other heros is legitimately the best option almost always (unlike early ow2 where she was the best as a counter dive heros) . Now she’s used in every situation.
When a hero is performing better than every other hero in every situation she’s no longer niche. She’s being played in pro play with brawl, dive, even poke.
Do you remember a brig constantly front lining you early ow2 or did she die?
Bc she’s constantly on the front line now going face to face with tanks…… in an environment where tanks are supposed to be stronger than every other role.
It’s a problem and she needs to be nerfed as the rest of the supports were
Now for what the game really needs:
a global reduction in tank survivability.
Bro she started with an L. Her ult was a weaker version of queens cooldown and dive was unchecked?
The only things that really changed about her is her bash is a dash and she procs with all her abilities which honestly seems like an overlooked thing.
Brig is fine. If lucio was meta yall would be screaming for frog nerfs.

I’m sorry but this is bogus. Even now, a brig in the frontline is a dead brig. If her value is that she’s hard to kill, so she always has value, GOOD- no hero in the game should be so extremely niche as to say “you only play them in anti dive”, for example.
Brig is by far the healthiest meta support we’ve had at the moment since ow2 launched. Her value is she’s hard to kill + can deter dives. No brig is front lining unless you are throwing and your tank is horrid.
Last thing I’ll add is Juno is obviously massively propping brig up. She covers all of her weaknesses and has superb healing to keep brig alive in the event you try to expend resources to kill her- and speed boost + top tier healing = brig will not die if she plays remotely decent position, but that’s more of a Juno problem than a brig problem.
And despite that this is still the healthiest support meta we’ve had in forever.
