That won’t save Americans. We barely get the benefits of EU’s increased regulations.

Uh oh. How will Genshin work without shady business practices and having to respect their players? L+ Ratio.

That’s gonna really hurt sales of Blizzard products in China.

Didnt change loot boxes wont change anything
Regulations on games in China will only mean that there will be separate versions of games for China… like always.
I think at very best it may create a small paring down of the AMOUNT of mobile money farmers out there, but really… were YOU downloading “super duper waifu idle princess raiser angels of victory plus SSR GUARANTEED… etc” cause that’s what most of the garbage that’s going down the drain is.

To be perfectly honest I’d probably click it to look at the bjoobies.

Once again, the law not keeping up with the VG industry. Damage is already done.
Do you really think, they will make less money in other parts of the world, because Chinas version of the game has to be tweaked even further? Nah dude. There is a reason why most things have a China version and then an normal version.
Not to mention that Blizzard is not operating in China anymore since the last year I think.
Yeah yeah China and regulations. We all know how good all of that works over there.

They are not going to change systems anyway. Maplestory a 2D mmorpg game, completely blocked us from using any of their trading systems from player to player trading, to auction house etc.
Yeah I’m not about to side with China over this no matter how just it is.
This won’t do anything for Americans. Maybe in 20 years America will catch up and just outright ban things like Fortnite and Genshin and their egregious practices that ruined the entire game industry for the rest of us.

People shooting down the effectiveness of this must not know Tencent (very Chinese) has a stake in nearly every game studio nowadays.
Their stock stumbled 12% instantly with this news.

weird way to spell OW2
when even gacha games are more generous then OW, you know something is messed up.
It will not affect OW2 at all because currently no Blizzard product can be played in China because Blizzard still haven’t searched up Tencent and NetEase about it.
Missing Lootboxes already huh, China? The main reason of why PC games have got mobile game-like aggressive monetisation?
Tencent will need to raise prices elsewhere to make up for lost revenue.
For once living in China doesn’t seem so bad but then I remember everything else going on over there…

Pretty sure Tencent (or any other Chinese publisher) doesn’t have to follow these regulations in games that are not marketed in China. This likely won’t have any significant effects outside of it.
