Adding 3 new heroes alone simply is not enough to refresh the mode. <1 week since season launch and its already just all the same stuff.
Every hero needs to have major shakeups every season to make this mode anywhere close to interesting. The best builds for every hero should not still be the same 2 months after the mode came out. Remove old powers, add new ones. Force people to experiment and try new builds
Adding the ability to save and import builds is the OPPOSITE of what the mode needs. We dont need MORE ways and reasons for people to just lock in the same build every match. You dont even need to think as a player. You can just get a build code off the internet, enter it and have all the work done for you. Netdecking is what kills card games and theyve brought it to stadium.
The mode is so insanely solved it is not enjoyable in the slightest
I’m glad they haven’t yet. I haven’t even had an opportunity to properly play it due to a weird bug that seems to be effecting only a handful of players including myself. I think it would be smarter if they ironed out any bugs that cause major performance issues before “shaking things up a bit”.
Adding cancerous heroes like junkrat who just make the game extremely unfun to play. Sorry but I dont find a hero who just sits at the back completely risk free and literally spams 100 nades a second which then explode into smaller shots very fun.
Adding more ways for people to play the same build every match. Adding ways for people to just copy paste builds into the game
They should just come out and say they want the mode to be stale cus thats what theyre heading toward
No effort has been made to reinvigorate the mode. Just added 3 new heroes and ALL the same mistakes were made as with the original launch
A new hero in each role, discord as a mechanic, increased viability for projectile class, anti-air item (my beloved), new maps… Like asking genuinely what do you find to be lacking? I’ve seen lots of variance personally
It’s still all the same builds. The mode has not changed at all. Its the same heroes, the same powers, the same items over and over
There is no creativity in the mode
If you play juno its still just go torpedo build. They haven’t changed the mode up at all. Its so stale and repetitive.
They need to be adding and removing items and powers every single season. Every season should not only be adding new heroes but changing the ways you play the existing ones. Just adding a couple heroes doesn’t remotely move the needle.
I agree- they made it sound like Stadium would be an ever quick-evolving mode that would stay fun because theyd keep it from getting stale by updating and completely changing hero abilities.
But what a surprise, they released something and now wont make any real changes to it for 20 years. I dont know if theyre afraid to ever make big changes to the game or just lazy, but Stadium was the devs chance to really go for it with updates, changes and whacky abilities… but they just havent.
Or you can understand basic synergy and not need any of that because it’s very easy to understand.
The most complex about it is “am I on a character that benefits from ability power more than weapon power?”
Its sad because Stadium really reinvigorated the game for a lot of people -i personally came from playing years of Counterstrike to OW because it had everything I ever wanted: skill based shooting along with really fun abilities to make the game more exciting.
I get that Stadium isnt for everyone, thats why its good that its a separate mode and not just what the main game changed into, because some people are really into the crazy abilities and building style of it. Its sad that they dont get what made Stadium popular and a draw.
Instead of adding a bunch of new heros every season they should have gone with an approach of adding 1 new hero or even none some seasons, but really overhauling all the abilities.
Qrow is a demon on the Zen? But seriously, I cannot believe they are adding Tracer over Aqua next season. That’s wild. Whatever you have on them much be huge…
Build imports are just gonna make it easier for people who already do the same thing by watching content creators craft their builds. It will reduce the barrier to an otherwise complex mode.
There’s still the problem of using skill to implement the build to work, and for some team mates, Supports are needed to sustain the teams; but most of them won’t do that.
It’s also hard to say whether or not most players will even bother searching for these builds.
they relased a rushed mode, incomplete to compeete with marvel rivals, people was excited at the beginning because is literally the first thing that ow2 did be a sequel (yet is not even half the things they promised, actually is nothing of what they promised) and people fall for it, game was so stale they think this stupid mode alone deserved the 2 in the title, anyway, the honeymoon phase is over and people realized how empty and bad the mode is already, relasing “”““new””" characters will not save this mode, and they are not relasing anything, they are just completing the mode, will need years to have every character relased, this means they can pretend this is content
The problem with Stadium is that they only release a limited number of characters on the first day. Then they gradually add more Overwatch characters over time. However, the game mode quickly becomes boring and repetitive.
