Don’t think Sombra doesn’t benefit from high ground. For some reason, people don’t like looking up.
Reinhardt: Hold your shield up facing away from the enemy team, rotate your camera with left click so you can see them. Press Q when the enemies run out of cover / barriers / safe positions to try to get the dumb tank that isn’t looking at them.
(Earthshatter and firestrike instantly happen in the direction your camera was facing, not where Rein is facing)
This is especially applicable in lower ranks: Mercy is super-viable as an off-support. While she can run main, you can also be really effective as a team by utilising another player and making it their responsibility to do the bulk of the healing, but have Mercy be responsible to damage boost appropriate targets the vast majority of her time.
If your team has Soldier and Ash on DPS, you should really consider running Mercy to do nothing other than damage boost.
This is kinda problematic, as my hero with the most hours is not my main
For Orisa, use shieldstacking whenever you can, especially when you’re on defense in an open area.
There’s no single tip for Sombra because she’s extremely situational. Her rules and tatics change from map to map and from team comp to team comp. It’s a hundred little ones that you have to line up perfectly like dominos.
Ah hell…
I couldn’t tell you.
Between all my alts…
Honestly…
So ana- sleep dart is not so hard. Most people aren’t constantly moving. Take the guaranteed shot if you aren’t great. No , tracer might not be the person you can land the shot on. But if she is on you, it usually means the enemy rein isn’t. Nade tracer. Sleep rein.
Sombra- her dps is op. Flat. Use her opportunist, Line up the headshot before engaging and you’ll likely kill them off.
Mercy- pistol is her fastest way to valkyrie and dmg boost is her strongest asset. Use the dmg drool and stop healing. Finish the fight. Don’t prolong it. Shoot. Dmg boost. Win.
Sleep dart is notorious for having a stupid large hitbox
Learn to super jump on Mercy.
Hanzo:
Hanzo is ineffective on long distances, he is no sniper but ninja with bow.
Hanzo is effective on short distances, cause he is no sniper but ninja with bow.
Use this knowledge well and make everyone cry.
As Symmetra, when you are forced into a 1v1 situation, immediately throw a turret at the ceiling or the feet of your attacker. It’s common that it will go unnoticed, and if the duel extends for more than a second, the turret will slow them down, making it easier for you to hit them.
As Torbjorn, remember that your cheetos don’t have damage falloff. Spam it down high traffic areas and chokepoints. You’ll get some surprise kills on each random 140 damage headshot, and you have more than enough ammo on your gun that you can spam for days.
From one Sym main to another:
DON’T.
Remember that whenever you think of a strategy as you will hear this word when you select Symmetra from your team.
Examples include:
You can finish off the opponent if you chase them, DON’T.
Expect allies to use your tools to their benefit, DON’T.
Hold the point when at low health and see a Mercy on the way, DON’T expect healing.
Expect to win, DON’T.
TP bomb? DON’T.
Got the flank and want to suprise attack? DON’T.
Objective in sight after a Team Kill? DON’T.
Remember when you pick Symmetra its you verses the enemy team. Your, “allies,” in their pettiness will play half heartedly expecting a loss since you chose Symmetra.
Good luck, you’ll need it.
don’t play mccree in competitive
Mercy: Because the range of your Guardian Angel and beam is greatly increased in Valkyrie, you can preemptively use Valkyrie when walking from spawn in order to reach your team faster when they are in need.
Master Super Jump and always get high ground when you can. On some maps, you’re literally untouchable.
Take extra care doing this with snipers and multiple hit scan! A good Widow, Tact Visor and Deadeye are your worst enemies.
Roadhog: Never hook an enemy Hog first. You’ll die.
Doomfist: don’t be using your abilities all the time for mobility, it’s fine to walk around too. It’ll help if you need just 1 more ability to kill someone or to escape
Mercy
Find a friend to boost you.
In all seriousness, I don’t really play her that much anymore, but my second most played is Zen.
Try to give harmony to your flanker or high mobility tank before the main fight happens or when you see them preparing to go after or behind the enemy team.
Junkrat: Don’t play it, he sucks.
Too many Reinhardt mains for some reasons don’t know this, so here we go.
If you are holding your shield up, then you can press left click and move your mouse around. In that way you will be able to look a full 360° around you with your shield up and static in front of you.
Pair that up with a surprise Shatter and you’ll feel like Bumper 1000%
Moira: jump when entering shift and jump when coming out. You’ll pass way bigger distance than normal fade.
Zen: bind discord on mouse wheel - physically its harder to smash E all the time.
Melee cancels his charging up right-click.
Mercy: boosting widow vs other widow is useless. Yes even that your Widow charges up faster.
Super Jump is overhyped.
By hours, Mccree is my most played hero, but my MAIN is Ashe.
Tip: Manage your bullets. Never empty the whole clip because that 5 second reload will get you killed. Shoot 7, take cover, heal up, reload, then shoot another few until someone dies, the enemy team will likely retreat, then reload again. I always try to have at least 5 bullets available in big fights in case I get jumped by multiple people.
