Give us Life Grip Neural Silencer

Since Blizzard is so determined to take Life Grip from World of Warcraft (called Leap of Faith there), why not give us the Neural Silencer. Which allows you to just turn off Leap of Faith for 24 hours.

Hell I’ll pay for it.

That or rework it to respect agency instead. But since we’re looking towards Blizzard’s other games for these abilities, let’s also take from their solutions to the agency problems and let us turn it off

i am not advocating for it. but if everyone would do bad pulls something would change i am sure.

its not as easy as wall or tp that you have to place desperately, or wall at will.

while lw is more prone to doing a mistake with huge impact. any other mistake can be reverted. mei can take down her wall in an instant and tp can instantly be destroyed.

lw has no way to cancel or reverrt a bad pull and theres no wind up.

I mean. I’ve been advocating for it to get a rework personally. But in a bunch of these threads people have been going “Blizzard won’t change it they’ve put similar abilities in their others games.”

And well. If we’re going to go along that logic, I want the fixes that are in these other games.

i say this from a LW Perspektive.

i hate the ability and leave my finger off the key to avoid accidentally using it.
theres nothing worse than wasting an ability AND make your team mad about it.

wow also has a toy, swapblaster, that allows everyone to be a annoying little Rebell unless they use the silencer. so now i am selling swapblasters and silencers in my raids.

Man this seems like a real healthy ability when people don’t want to use it because they know other’s hate it.

(Also that’s real nice of you to care about your teammates, good on you!)

I am not quite well versed enough in WoW to get that

swap blaster is basically a nerfed version of the priest grip that anyone can use, it casts shortly and then swaps locations with the targeted player, so if you Stand at an edge and they walk and jump around you can catch them off guard. swap places, placing them at the edge of the cliff and if they are unlucky happen to jump into the abyss.

anyone can use it at any friendly target in your group, same rules as the priest abilities except for the priest his spell is instant and only pulls you to him, not swapping places.

The principle idea of lifeweaver is not bad, especially not in a team oriented game.
the player base still insists in playing solo but who can blame them, theres nothing inside the game that helps to build teams. (besides team Q, which i haven’t played but would like to and it needs you to arrive with a team already).

while taking away lfg and i think Global chat?
so i am forced outside the game or ask every lobby I join if anyone wants to build a team?

Ain’t a team ability.

From the guy that was liking the comments from Hammond as he was telling me it would be better for all if I ate paint chips.

I wish to live, so I will excuse myself from the drinking game.

yea being able to save teamamtes lifes and correct bad positioning/decision making isnt a team ability…

i dont drink, so sorry have to dodge this one(maybe could do it with ginger shots tho )

It doesn’t respect people’s agency (take a shot), it’s an ability that implies the LW is the team captain, or literally in charge.

Team abilities are cooperative. Life Grip is not cooperative as it does not require cooperation to be used.

Neither do I, drink water.

maybe u should, get a new addiction than spam hatred against flower boy lol

No thanks.

I’d rather get Blizzard to give me Neural Silencer/an equivalent if they’re going to take abilities from WoW. Give me the things they put in place because it was misused.

they wont, stay mad or move on

Should we call SilverHawk? Then again poor guy’s liver has already been put through the wringer.

They already added it to World of Warcraft, which has Leap of Faith, an equivalent to Life Grip.

How about you accept that I’m going to keep campaigning for a better game instead of what we have now? Then you can move on, accepting this misery, and I can move on, continuing to make arguments for improvements.
