First time I hear about it, but might be.

What I can tell you is that our ancestors knew how to communicate using whistles while being Km away. Not necesary since today we got cellphones, but really cool culture.

Yes, that happened in Tenerife. There is a lot more to this place tho. Super sad that’sthe only thing the world remembers tho

Actually, the Canary Islands belong to Spain. I assume you guys know what Spain is hahahaha

Its the Islands themselves what I think the world really doesnt know about.

It is. I’m embarrassed to admit because my great grandmother was from there. Sadly I never met her and never learned anything about the place. It is beautiful tho. Definitely would visit.

Its not your fault probably, the islands are not usually part of the education unless you live in Spain or are studying the Spanish Civil War.

Its not your fault probably, people usually just dont know about us, since we are not a topic in education or news outside Spain.

If you plan on visiting, I would advice you stay at a respectable distance from the most tourist-centric places. Go deep into the islands, look for hiden beaches, meet the locals and try to speak spanish with them, eat typical food…

If you like that kind of thing “Canarias” is a really cool place to visit. Thanks for your kind comments ^^
