We need the ability to downvote players, please. Like the opposite of an endorsement. People need to understand that they are a detriment to the team when they fail to preform their role adequately. Like a hitscan who can’t shoot down Pharah, or a tank who doesn’t shield or peel, or a healer who spends all game DPSing.
It’s not being toxic telling people how to play their role better, and it’s not toxic saying they are the reason we lost, if it’s true. Constructive criticism is good and healthy for the community.
It’s not fun to play comp and get two tanks or two supports that only queued the role because DPS queue time is 15+ minutes because Blizz thought role queue was a good idea, and they play their role like a DPS.
Sounds like a tool to be used by people who focus on their teammates too much and blame everyone but themselves
Giving people helpful advice isn’t really toxic. Condescending, maybe. Toxic? No. However, you can absolutely be toxic and criticize people at the same time. In fact, most “criticism” tends to just be unhelpful flame.
In the current state of the world, you got to realise gaming is just a escape for many, last thing you want to do is hound someone when they are at their lowest.
1.Maybe its that ER nurse trying to play ashe after a double shift
2.Maybe its that kid trying to have fun as genji after being bullied at school
3.Maybe its that dad that has just got the two kids to sleep and is charging in as rein after a couple beers.
Like i see a lot of orissa players who play her like a scaredy cat in qp, they arent doing it intentionally they dont know better, last thing you want is to make them feel bad.
Look none of your games matter more than a pizza, if a pizza slice falls off your hands its more of a loss than any looses in this game.
Your comp sr doesnt matter, no single match matters, your skill rating will always round up to your skill more or less overtime.
Also whats the point, the only real reward is if your going to be a pro or streamer in which case its your skill and personality that matters.
If you arent chasing those things why does it matter.
I always think of the teammates as something of this is who you got, this is who has turned up to fight beside you.
I do not need a downvote button to remind me that you people are mad, you can just leave a message in chat letting me know, I can pretend to care too, if you want. Much more personal than just leaving a salty thumbs down.

Sounds like easy way to ensure no one has endorsements. Or to make sure no one cares - your team downvotes you for throwing, enemy team upvotes you for same reason.
Wow, what a terrible idea. So easily exploited by toxic players. Also how could someone playing with you even remotely give good advice when they aren’t just watching you play the entire time? There is no way this will ever be constructive.
I mean, giving advice, when things already went downhill, isn’t really good idea. Players already are upset and won’t react rationally even to actually constructive criticism.
Constructive criticism is only really received when someone is looking or asking for advice. Any other time it’s given, it will most likely fall on deaf ears or be taken as a personal attack.
Though a downvote button is the exact opposite of giving advice, it’s just shaming someone for not performing to your own personal standards.
