No, no we dont, how many times do we need to explain this.
Most hog players I know are dps mains, and most tank mains just want idk… to tank. I queue dps when I want to dps.
So many entitled dps mains that have zero clue why tanks even pick any hero in this game, or how any of them plays.

It will be super cool that there will be a by the number strongest tank once the high SR players get ahold of the finished game (if they already haven’t, talkin about those who get paid to play).
We will see the chart where “X” tank is META now, so playing anything else will be considered throwing. If it’s a tank you don’t play, or one of the non tank tanks like Hog or Hammond, you just don’t play the game. It will be sooo good for DPS queue times when 1/8 of the tank players get to play at any given patch.
Glorious times are a comin.

I strongly believe Hammond is one of most tanks tank in the game, more than monkey.
Hes a diver, he disrupts, he controls space and has crowd control, he takes attention while not feeding ult charge nonstop.
Ball is one of the smartest designs in the game IMO, and simply needs more power in his disruption, and less in his offensive capabilities. That way its a lot more of a “capitalize on disruption” playstyle like he used to be, than a “assassinate a no cds hero with all my cds and escape” / “bait cds with taking their attention and escape” that he is now.
His knockback needs at the very least partial revert, and if it means that u remove a tad of piledrive dmg (like 20) + remove the ability to charge mines (or any ult, besides hanzo’s cus it lasts forever) while mines are up, then it’d be fine. Hes really one of the most tanks like tank, far more than sig hog or zarya.

Just play one of the multiple Hog hard counters that exist.
Bait his cooldowns and be aware of the Pig’s position.
If he’s flanking alone and you’re aware of this info he’s an easy pick.

Those 10 seconds are really rough on us ball players
I try to be objective towards my role as well. There were days when I was advocating to nerf rein, I miss those days. I want all roles to be balance and meaningful as I play all and enjoy all, and the game shouldnt be vastly less fun for one role, even if the minority.
As someone who plays MMORPGs, I know very well the meaning of maintaining the role trinity pleased. Dont try to play a role based game without a role existing, it isnt fun. You are the ones who will have to switch. I say it as a dps who went tank for periods of times cus of that.

Tanks already are fat DPS. That’s what makes them fun.
Nobody likes spamming defenses, they want to play the game.
Hog is no exception
I’m starting to believe that people think that there’s really no one who actually queues for tank to play Hog for fun
I literally queue for tank specifically along with DPS because I enjoy him

Playing against a Hog is total whatever, he’s not gonna defend the payload or contest the point, so I don’t care, it’s having him on the team that becomes a problem. If the other tank is level 50, I just know they’re gonna insta-lock Hog, and they do, I’m left being the only tank for the team. As I’m trying shield everyhting, Hog is busy playing fat DPS and dying to a 1v6 the whole game.
