D.va needs buffs, Orisa is getting a new ability, So give Dva something

Given that’s the creator patch and Emongg is doing tanks, I’m sure Dva will get something fun.
I want to see a real buff in the patch notes for Dva today

She needs a matrix nerf then go from there with buffs.
nerf DM then buff her spread
All I know is she’s going to get a fancy version of her April fools booster tech which wasn’t very fun. So I’m not optimistic.

She’s underperforming currently. You don’t nerf a hero that’s not meeting expectations. That’s ludicrous.

Why would you cut out the rest of the context from my reply then answer as if I didn’t say she should be buffed as well?
The thing holding her back is that matrix is strong to the point of being oppressive to most tanks and almost forcing switching to beams. She can’t get buffed without first reducing how unfun she is to play against because she eats so much damage. Matrix has way too much uptime.
She doesn’t need a power shift. She needs straight buffs. Nerfing DM is a terrible idea when her survivability is already a problem. It’s her main tanking ability. She needs it. They already tried a weaker version of D.Va in the beta and it didn’t work. So we’ve already learned the lesson that she needs this version of Matrix. We KNOW a weaker version doesn’t work from experience.
Again, an opinion. I disagree. She makes tanking unfun and almost forces swap to zarya. That is unhealthy. The problem is matrix uptime making other tanks pretty useless against her. Matrix needs more downtime and move survivability somewhere else.

Well the devs agreed with me. She got buffs in today’s patch.
I’d just make the DM resource drain a little faster. So it has slightly less up time.
Other than that, she’s ok as a tank. Not the best, not useless.
It is the tiniest of tiny buffs. But a buff indeed.
Strange you think that is a good thing. The devs rarely make good, sensible changes.

They certainly have made some mad decisions in the past.
This patch though, probably is “good, sensible changes”.
It isn’t a game changer patch, but it is a step in the right direction.
They actually made the exact changes that many D.Va players were asking for. They also made a ton of other good changes in this patch. It’s a huge W of a patch.
