Junkrat is really good at spamming around corners with no opposition
Okay. Yeah he is probably the best at burning through those 3. Still doesnât mean heâs gonna be a meta pick if he is just gonna get insta-sniped. In the right situation he could be an ideal pick still.
Even if he has an Orisa and Reinhardt protecting him, there would be probably a Soldier who can help shooting it out, Orisa has guns too (okay, a hit with that would be absolutely RNG but hey, thatâs already 11 less health on the tire), or a Widow can oneshot it, Ana, Zen can also take shots to it soâŚ
But even if it kills the Bastion, hey, at least Junkrat is not a completely useless hero (coming from the âbuff junkrat heâs uselessâ thread, lol).
What would you consider to be the âright situationâ?

If he did his job properly, yes, he could be an ideal pick. Thatâs what Iâm saying with this, he doesnât do that job properly. Other heroes are much better than him at his ânicheââŚ

Then who can burn down Rein shield bettter? Maybe he is not picked because current meta doesnât involve destroying the shield? Or at least not be forced into destroying it if there are other ways around it.
Roadhog can corner peek, Hanzo can corner peek, Junkrat can shoot it without LOS, Zarya can shoot it when high charge⌠A lot of heroes are better at it than him. Not faster, but better. Bastion is faster in the 500 meter dash, theyâre better in the marathon. And the marathon is the much more important one.

Headshots would be a good start, but he needs his spread reduced as well, just as before.
If he ever wants to be good, he needs something that will protect him during sentry mode that isnât Ironclad; his own form of self protection like a shield he had in the beta.

Okay, so you just described his role. Thatâs the character he is and thatâs what he does. He is situational and excels in that area.

Yeah, Junkrat may have a use, sure (heâs actually much more useful than Bastion, even without the riptire vs Bastion thing), but it just makes Bastion even more useless⌠Iâm fine with Junkrat countering Bastion, thatâs by design, but Bastion doesnât deserve to be this bad.
He excels at shooting one barrier in the game, and thatâs it⌠I suppose youâd also like Sombra to just be a scout, and not do any damage? This is much worse than that âroleâ
Remove Ironclad, give him a shield with say 350 health, revert his spread, set ammo to 200-250.
Or just remove Ironclad, revert his spread, revert his âno headshotsâ, revert his ammo.

Iâm saying giving him such an insane spread (more than a hero thatâs meant to be used point blank) is unbalanced.
He excels at more than just killing one barrier and you know it lol. He is used in pirate ship and excels in area-denial. Thatâs his job and thatâs what he does well.
Itâs like saying a spoon isnât as good as a kitchen kinfe because the knife can cut meat. You canât eat ice-cream off knife though. So I guess the knives are more useful becasue you need to cut meat more often than you eat ice-cream. But when you eat ice-cream, youâre still gonna want a spoon.
Yeah, except they can all just set up in a corner on Anubis or Oasis and even if your team picks a Mei, a D.Va and a Junkrat they wouldnât even get ult charge because of the shields⌠Bastionâs concept was okay in alpha, forcing such a 1-bit mechanic now when every hero is getting 3-4 abilities, resets, 2 forms of CC etc. it would be pretty stupid to buff a hero like that. Bastion needs a rework, not a buff.
That hero still has a tiny magazine and a lot of recoil. Bastion has huge magazine and no recoil.
Cause he is always at full recoil.

So he becomes the king of running away but not really because he also heals slower? Running away is not his problem.
