With last changes to Brigitte, dash jump, Blizzard actually changed their design principles.
I mean they have removed edge dash for same reason. But now Moira, Doomfist and Brigitte had exactly the same bug but they have “fixed” the genji’s one. I know fix was a long time before that heroes but I really think this is not fair when Moira, Doomfist and Brigitte has same bug as an secret ability but Genji got nerfed/fixed.
I think Blizzard must give back that ability to Genji.
Genji does not need more mobility.
Brigitte’s got nerfed and it doesn’t give much height.
Doomfist has an insanely tiny window and it doesn’t give much height.
Moira’s also doesn’t give much height.
Heck, where could you go with edge dash that Double-Jump + Wallclimb couldn’t? You cam get to more places with DoubleJump + Wallclimb albeit abit slower but you don’t have to use an ability.
Edge-jumping only work as an out of fight mobility because trying it in fight would just get you killed from having to look away from the enemy and locking yourself into a predictable path.
Moira main is affraid of genji. LOL
Moira shouldn’t have 6 secs fade.
He’s already the most mobile character in the game, I don’t think giving him even more mobility is the brightest idea.
You’re a reaper main, you need a buff more than Genji does.
They’re a Genji main in comp so they probably just want him buffed to make life easier for themselves.
As you said ,a better escape path.
HOWEVER even in out of combat it had very decent uses ,you could use it to get over some roofs on maps like nepal ,where with double jump and wall-climb you wouldn’t make it ,neither would you have with dash as you would just slide back to where you came from.
Plus ,it’s just extremely fun.

I’m sorry, what? Can you clarify that? “A tank designed to have no vertical mobility shouldn’t have it, yet here we are.” I’m confused, there’s a tank that isn’t supposed to have vertical mobility yet has it? All the tanks that have mobility-related abilities can and were made to travel vertically.
The difference is that Genji’s edge dash sent you straight to the other part of the map.
I’m obviously talking about brigitte here ,with her shield jump.
It wasn’t intended at first ,but they decided to tone it down and keep it.
It’s not the same. Any hero can slide up ramps into the air if they’re moving fast enough. It’s by design. Genji’s ledge dash wasn’t utilising ramps but ledges.
they can just nerf it like what they did with brigitte
And why would you even need that you’re already faster than everyone in the game and you can access to almost everywhere.
I mean I can see the interest for Brigitte and Moira they don’t have vertical mobility.
And for Doomfist it’s a good part of his gameplay so they won’t remove it (I mean who thinks Doomfist needs a nerf anyway).
Yes they toned it down massively. A character who had no other mobility had their 1 mobility toned down.
Genji on the other hand, has 1 mobility ability, 2 mobility passives, and 10% increased movement speed. Not only that, but his ledge jump could go both vertically and horizontally.
Give back McCree nuke damage on FtH?
what about no ? Genji dont need anything for his insane mobility dear Shimada Main the only thing Genji need is his hitboxes reduced

Genji does not need this, Moira, Brigitte kinda do so supports seem more fun to those who like this kinda of stuff, Doomfist on the other hand needs the jumps to be kinda viable in his current state, Blizzard can change their movement when jumping at anytime, they just chose not to.
They capped Brigitte’s vertical movement so she can’t slide off of things up into the air.
