All the other snipers have mobility options now… let ANA have one too. Let her grapple onto ledges and onto team mates…give it a long cool down, or require resource regeneration like Symetras sentry and call it a day. She obviously had one in testing at one point seen on her reveal sniping on top of the Anubis archway.
I think that wall cling like the assassin should be saved for a new class in general… but if done well i guess she could heal out of sight and in a nice corner.
Replace the biotic grenade with this and some HP sustain and Ana is now the sniper healer the devs originally intended for her to be, so far the only role she’s been used successfully was shooting a tank’s rear from close range, not a very snipery thing to do.
lots of mobas have character who can sticky onto team mates… this game takes alot of said abilities from moba characters but put it in the fps format which works well… (look at roadhog, his iteration is almost in every moba form)
Open your mind and just change your idea of how grappling hooks work and just make it one that is sticky and not one that actually hooks or pierces a wall. Since i’m guessing your looking at it an animation standpoint.
Anyways ANA’s been shown in her reveal or story where she on high spots she could never possibly get to…so she probably had a hook at some point during testing…remember she was sniping on top of Anubis archway in her reveal?

Compromise, instead she can pole vault with her sniper rifle onto ledges up to two meters above her.
This will have a 48 second cooldown, and after every third use you have to return to spawn and have a little sit to recharge it.
No, Hanzo already has Widow’s ultimate on a CD. Can we not give another Widow specific thing to another character pls. Give Ana something else but not a grappling hook.
There is no rule that says skills not be on other heroes other than your own weird hangups and fake rule that their shouldn’t be one… it’s the toolkit overall that makes a hero unique.
Most of those shields are passive abilities. If Ana gets a grappling hook she’d be taking a CD ability away from Widow. It’s lazy to recycle abilities such as that from other characters. Abilities help to differentiate the heroes from one another. No one can do what Tracer does, what Pharah does, what Lucio can, etc. Do you want to give Ana the ability to resurrect heroes how about wall ride? The grappling hook fits the spider motif associated with Widow. Ana shouldn’t get it. She should get something unique to her that makes sense for her to have.
