So at what point does this game stop being a crap fest and gitn gud actually matters?
Last season i decided to take comp seriously, work on aim, get a GM coach, play custom matches with gm players. Hone in on my heros. All that did was boost my stats so much it gave me crap team mates vs smurfs. Lost 1000sr last season, im now in mid gold around 2305. Decide to try climbing again last night. Here were the results.
Match 1- very hard win
Match 2- loss aimbot tracer. So good she one clipped me in a room while i was sombra invis
Match 3- thrower my team loss.
Match 4- people playing like they are bronze loss

Today
Match 1- win very hard win
Match 2- thrower my team
Match 3- 2 leavers my team
Down to 2158
Now the best part, had golds every match. Yes i saved screenshots as proof. The best was my last match i played ashe had 46 elims, 20 obj kills, 18k damage 9 deaths. These are the stats i pull every game and still lose.

Update- even my gm coach has no idea why im getting so many bad matches. The system unfortunately does not work in my favor mmr wise
My coach said nothing of the sort for git gud. All the posters here do and dont realize it still takes 6 people to win. Congrats on ur climb but u also started at 2500 not 2000
I think there is both of that. getting good help but having trowers dont help. in this game i can reach high diamond then go back to low plat then go back to high diamond. itās not stable. so yes you can climb. I almost reach master 2 seasons ago. but I was also on same time reach a low plat part. its a roll of dice and a roll of git gud. I remember that game when i was playing mercy where i had like 25k heals + 11 players resurected ( and not that was not when she had rex on ult) and 1 death. for me that was a prety git good game. but that was not enough to cover the leaver we had and dps running evrywhere and dying alone .
OW is a team base game. look at OWL. there stick together mainly. as a healer main i always wet myself (sorry) when i see that. when i play comp i have 3 flanker dps that constantly die in close room far aways behind. shrug Like i always say. I canāt heal stupidity. but another hand i had some really really good game too
I to am a healer main, play ana, ashe is back up dps. I find extremely discouraging tho to consistently pull some amazing stats, and make game winning plays, nade sleep etcā¦ but still lose.
Im use to at minimum plat level of play and in gold its struggle for me to climb as support.
I will gladly take any tips tho.

You canāt play less than 10 matches and be like āwelp guys it doesnāt work game over Iāll never climbā. You will never climb because you are impatient and looking for any validation that itās not your skill thatās to blame.
Iāve played at gold with a diamond and a GM on their gold alts.
Suffice to say that we got some āspecial*ā team mates in those games. In another we got crushed by a clear Pharah smurf.
*Zen never using orbs, Rein and DVa on our team just feeding 1 or 2 v6 all game and never tanking, etc.
My GM friend then said that we was going back to GM. Trying to carry in gold was too stressful for him.
Ive played 83 games this season, convenient im at 50 win rate. So what am i bronze-silver-gold-plat-diamond? Cuz ive had 50 winrate at all ranks ive played, on console and pc.
Thats not the point tho sorry, the point is how u cant carry in a 6v6 team based game and git gud only takes you so far. Sad to say my coach joined me in 2 matches on gold and we still couldnt win LOL. Great game here
Stop worrying about carrying. Youāre not going to carry if youāre maintaining a 50% winrate, which means you are in the right rank. You are not a carry player. Quit trying to play like one. Youāll just lose if you donāt have the skill to back it up.
Again u didnt read, ive had 50 win rate across almost all ranks. So no i am not where i belong. Going 30-2 with 10k heals every game as ana is not gold, its not even plat stats. Because like i said i fell real hard last season and now cant climb no matter what.
Like its disgusting how much i can punish players in low ranks yet in the end it doesnt matter.
Edit- sorry for coming off rude, im just stating facts and its extremely frustrating when i basically have to play against the community and the matchmaking to rank back up.
Are you playing at 144hz? Also concider taking a break and coming back. You might be on tilt because you arnāt having fun anymore. I play a lot better when I am having fun.
Only 60fps, i wish i could play at 144hz tho. I play in my theater so atleast its a big 130inch screenš.
I take a break after 3 losses. Sometimes dnt play again until the next day. Which kinda sucks cuz i like playing. That great advice for everyone tho is not playing when tilted. Thanks
If weāre being honest, 1800-2600 is all the same rank. And you said you played across all those ranks on both console and pc. Which ranks did you play on which console, and how did you get to the other ranks if your winrate was 50%?
And to give you an idea of how long term climbing is, I ask the people I coach to go at least 10 days of 5 games/day in between coaching sessions. This gives them time to work on what we talked over in the last session before we try to fix other things.
Itās a slog and your sample size is eenie weenie. Unless youāre handicapped, inept or hardware limited, with enough practice, youāll raise your SR. It just takes time.
People who are long-term Diamond and above have no clue what itās like in lower ELO. They might create an alt account and briefly taste about 20 matches before the matchmaker puts them in Diamond through PBSR, but thatās like driving through the ghetto in an armored car and claiming you know what itās like to live there. The matchmaker has been tampered with so much via boosting and cheating, it doesnāt know whatās what anymore. So many people suddenly going from Silver to Diamond and then falling to Silver again when they get their account back from boosting. Or they only do placements so they can stay in Diamond ā so Silver players end up staying in Diamond long-term. I donāt know if this was ever possible before, but right now you canāt take any two players at any two SR below 3500 and know for sure which one is a better player based solely on the number.
Someone posted a T500 VOD on Reddit a few days ago. I was absolutely blown away by how many mistakes they could make and not get instantly deleted. That person could never climb out of Gold as it is right now. Thereās a huge SR bubble in the line between 1800-2500 because of all the boosting, and there is no process for getting past it other than boosting or luck.
I was playing 10-15 matches per day, but I havenāt played in days now. I canāt take another 2-stack with a Mercy pocketing an aimbot on a throwaway account. Iāll do the Archives event for sure, but I might be done with OW after that.
I Climb at 50 because of my stats, i get alot on a win since i dont belong where im at.
When i was younger i played in tournaments of halo1-reach. I have a good understanding of team shooters. Im sure the fact i solo que doesnt help either.
Honestly i wouldnt mind grinding the games out to rank up but when 1 in 5 is a leaver and 1 in 3 is lost at hero select because of throwers etcā¦ its just not much fun anymore.
I hate battle royale games, fired up apex for the first time and went wow so much better and its free lol
