Have we even gotten a manly theme yet? Ram, Mauga, bap, torb, Hanzo, I mean you could have done something with that. Probably won’t sell as well but you know, all these collaborations it’s always the girl characters getting it. Not to mention we’ve done breast cancer twice but nothing for testicular cancer or prostate cancer? Just saying Blizzard.

What have the themes been so far?
CyberPunk, Japanese Mythos, Greek Mythos, D&D, Robot Uprising, Beast Hunt, Inverse OW, Eldritch Horror, Space Opera, Witches, Tokusatsu, General Spooky theme (What was Hanzo’s Mythic season’s theme?), Egyptian Mythos, Norse Mythos, Chinese Mythos. Upcoming we have DokiWatch and presumably Korean Mythos with D.Va’s Mythic.
DokiWatch and Witches are the only ones I’d consider “girly” tbh. The rest are pretty neutral.

Yeah I do find this one a bit annoying. Breast cancer gets all the attention for no reason. Not an OW specific problem though

I guess breasts are more publicly accepted as a conversation topic, horrid double standards but what can you do when a lot of people in the world are more afraid of seeing a man’s posterior than a woman’s breasts.
It’s also always the same ladies getting the skins, since those are the ones that sell the best.
I would love more gender neutral or manly themes. Ancient egypt, mirrorwatch, olympos, starwatch, ttrpg are all good examples of nice and flashy neutral themes.
I wouldn’t know what a “manly theme” would entail… muscle cars? Better wait for the ferrari collab in that particular case.
I’d love a countryside theme.
Make bastion a tractor, give flanels and overalls to heroes, maybe give another hero a scarecrow skin. Maybe ramattra could be holding a pitchfork and rein a shovel? Idk, just spitballing.

It’s a pipe dream of course what with games workshop and all but a 40K crossover would be awesome. Practically every overwatch character could fit one way or another.
Reinhardt as an astartes is natural, but let’s go with Salamanders instead of Ultramarines cuz I’m tired of smurfs.
Brig a sister of battle.
Mauga could be either a bonehead ogryn or a plague marine.
Ramattra and or Zen definitely are Necrons.
Lucio a kroot.
Zarya a Vostroyan Firstborn, and there would be several choices for a kasarkin.
Ashe would fit in as a commissar.
Junker Queen an Elder Banshee.
And that’s just off the top of my head. It’ll never happen though.

Yall say this and yet I see men out the wazoo buying these skins as opposed to, say, bounty hunter Baptiste. Yall don’t like most of the “manly” skins. When was the last time you saw someone all hype about cyborg 76?
Not to mention the fact that MHA, OPM are shounen and Cowboy Bebop is also targeted to men. So is Gundam Wing. Like what are we on about.

Sci fi is a traditionally male-dominated genre. This is where OP’s argument falls apart anyway, because what exactly do they want? Cars? Fishing? The trades? I’m not a man, but I think “manly” interests have been catered to plenty. they’re just not as fun or interesting or flashy or colorful
