I think we should be able to gift skins to our friends like credit skins, event skins and owl skins so it is fair that new players get 2019 things when they have joined in 2020 or in the future, this is my friends idea so i would like to happen, it would be so cool

I would honestly kinda like that because I would rather make my alt my main. As I play there a decent bit but I have almost everything (legit not joking I have almost everything) in the game on this account.
I feel like this doe can be abused.
Someone can buy the skin over and keep gifting it for irl money. I dont think thats fair for people and the company so yeah

Not irl money, credits and owl currency since their only currency in game rn but i see it as a trading system meaning swapping things, so you can give a friend a skin and get a skin back
No i mean someone can advertise on discord servers, “Hey guys I can gift you the new anniversary skin you want just 3.99 USD dm me for details”
Like people can do that and earn money out of it. Which technically isnt fair for blizzard.

Yes but if blizzard doesnt allow irl money we should be fine and we should be able to see a trading screen like the skins on podiums or platforms when they came out the lootbox
Its not that simple doe. As I mentioned. a discord AD in an OW server
the person could ask the buyer to paypal him the 4$ and thats it. he sends over the skin etc

Yes but the person would have to trade smthing back for the skin in game and blizzard can put out a warning
Gifting system would be interesting but, You know what? For the longest time I want to be able to transfer everything from one account to another now that would be cool.
It probably is useless thinking to some, but since I have moved countries I can’t purchase on my account anymore, the region is locked to American, so it is why I would like to have account transfer but enough on that.
Gifting would be pretty awesome! I would love to see that system so that we are able to share or gift each other something like lootboxes or limited skins that are purchasable or even Overwatch league tokens.
yeah trade an anniversary skin for base legendary. that can be abused.
Or trading a skin you dislike for a skin you extremely like and is twice the value of the skin you dislike.
I feel like the issue with the system is they need to make on the premises
of equal value
As if someone wants to get ALL star goats brig

I mean like everything though. I mentioned this to a member in the past. And they said that since console and pc are completely different operation systems it is hard for the server to tell what the account has if a transfer was to be made, but apparently my feedback was sent to the developers directly for future development. Which I would hope so

I feel like with OW2 they might be able to do cross platform transfers? as in like from console to PC.
they did say transfers will be made easy between OW1 and OW2 so hopefully console can slide in.

There would be no point in lootboxes if people could just trade whatever skin they want.
Nobody would buy lootboxes anymore, which would be good for players, but the game still needs to make money for the publisher

I could be wrong, but I think the last I knew about the ability in Overwatch 2 to transfer your cosmetics and levels from one account to another was through active licenses. This is the last I knew and it was a while back so the information could have changed by now.
