Gibraltar Pack... is it worth it

For me personally it is…
Ill get curency, amd the beta acces. So yes, besides I want to support the devs and give them a little bit back <3

Personally, I can’t justify 40 USD for a game that barely even exists or that I’ll like enough to grind out the BP (for how ever long it will take).

Support is nice and all but I am pretty sure they have enough cash

effectively, it has replaced the legendary edition

You understand Activision executives get the lion’s share of the money you give them, yes? Like supporting the devs is a cute thought, but their salaries are basically rounding errors compared to what kotick and co. make.

What you buy is what you will get more of. Just something to think about.

What is it? I was asleep during the stream.

It was so embarrassing that they didn’t show it on the stream

No it’s clearly not worth it.

Oh… so, no info on what it entails? I didn’t see it on twitter either.

Hahaha. This is why they went F2P, because they are going to make a killing off players thinking they are getting a deal by getting a “free” game while blowing money like crazy on skins.

And that is a bad thing?

Ista buy. Thanks for the info. Let the other mald over it but this is it for me.

Lmao u know what free to play means?

I have no idea why anyone would pay that much for access to a beta, an icon and 2k coins. Oh and you could also just sign up and get access to the beta for free :man_shrugging:

You’re testing Blizzards game for them. For free. There is no world where paying them to do that makes any sense.

Most people are ignorant what it means and why OW1 model failed (or at least what was a big problem). They live in 2010 and want to buy things 1 time only and then DLCs. This does not work for longer lasting games in the long run. But try to explain THAT to them…

We’re talking about the Watchpoint Pack here which includes:

  • 2 legendaries (Space Raider Reaper & Space Raider Cassidy)
Those skins are dope, but ain’t worth $40
  • Instant access to the beta.
Which you can opt-in now for free.
  • Premium Battlepass 1
You can just buy the access separately which most likely will cost way less
  • 2000 virtual coin.
We don’t know how much does it worth. Is it enough for a mythic skin, or just be able to buy smaller cosmetics like voice lines, stickers, and weapon charms.

So, personally i don’t think it’s worth it.

You can justify your willingness to let corporations milk you however you like. Those other F2P games are trash too. Just because the masses have been brainwashed into spending real money to play virtual dressup doesn’t mean that’s the direction Blizzard should have taken with OW.

A game doesn’t have to have as many players as Fortnite or Apex to be healthy.

True.

I rather pay then to waste my time. Its always bad for my time zone.

Would have bought it anyway.

I am sure the new “mythical” skins that are modular will be dope and therefore spending money on prem currency will be normal.

It has all I want for a price I am willing to pay. Its that simple.

If you read the Beta access FAQ, anyone who opt-in before June 28th will be guarantee getting an access.

" The new opt-in web form is now available on PlayOverwatch/beta is slated to stay open until June 28 unless we hit our projected maximum server capacity earlier. We’ll select a small group of players when the beta goes live on June 28 at 11:00 AM PDT and will steadily add more players over time as we ramp up capacity, with the first waves of larger access grants planned to begin on July 5.

Our goal is to provide access to ALL players that opt-in to the beta by no later than July 14. "
