The game just freezes on the loading screen, the one right before you get to pick your character - and then after a while you get the red inactivity count down - but theres nothing you can do- since you can’t choose your hero and actually get into the game.
By no means does this happen every game - but often enough to be a real concern - and problem.
I wish there was an exit button or something, that you could press to “get out” of that loading screen whenever it freezes up like that. Its so annoying to get penalties for somthing you cant really do anything to prevent - as far as I know at least.
For me so far in season 9, this has happened almost 10% of the games. aka twice in the 20 games I’ve had thus far.

This annoying bug, in the end got me banned from an entire season.. As the penalty just gets harder and harder if you keep repeating the “behaviour”. And of course, with this kind of bug, you do that, just by playing.
Been brainstorming this issue togheter with Grok and it seems moving the game to an ssd, instead of hdd, probably would fix the problem - and has for many. The problem, is loading all your “stuff” - so this issue has often been related to certain skins etc, too as far as I’m aware with the help of grok.
Moving the game to my ssd, though, unfortunately, is “impossible” as its only big enough for th operating system (aka windows)., and then I got an idea - what if you just made your stuff to load into the game - lighter?
So I made a new acc, and never picked up a single trinket, or skin - and it worked without a hitch for 80 games straight!! I was so happy! This might actually be a viable solution to the problem, if you cant move to a ssd - just keep your stuff to load, at a total minimum!. Unfrotunately, after 80 games, blizz released the latest patch, and the game is totally unplayable - but for different reason unrelated to this issue, so I wont conflate this thread with it. Boo hiss on blizz, for messing up their game like this though. (sad face)
