I’m tired of toxic groups mass-reporting me and getting me banned for playing a hero they don’t like, fake abusive chat reports, etc. This automated ban bullcrap has GOT to get sorted out.
We all know the appeal system is complete nonsense and never gets glanced at. You can literally not use chat and get banned and I’m sick of it. I’ve been rage-reported so many times at this point that I get banned for month stretches now. Either fix the automated banning, or hire people to actually read the chat logs. Feels like “old-school” Germany at this point with how incredibly quickly you can get banned on this game–whilst doing absolutely nothing wrong. Something has got to change.
People wonder why the quality of games are all over the place, steamrolls, unplayable nonsense half of the time. This is a big part of the problem. Guess what happens when a decent player gets banned. They get on another account. Guess what happens then. You get diamonds and beyond bullying gold players. This objectively makes the quality of matches worse.
Edit: Also I’d like to add that they don’t even freaking warn you anymore. They just outright ban you for a month. It’s actually comical.

Exactly why I play Mystery Heroes: No one whinges about what hero you are. You get a huge diversity of heroes - it never gets boring. Etc.

The sad thing is, this game used to be playable on competitive. Now you can’t do it because you simply get banned from people you ragdoll, salty teammates falsely blaming you, etc. I don’t want casual, I want competitive. It’s actually shocking that the system is still this awful that people can just gaslight and gatekeep you from playing the video game for a month.

- Make the fun part also the correct strategy to win. Your players will try to use the winning strategy. At the end though, they will rightfully blame the game if that isn’t fun.
My advice.
Play with your team more…sounds like you’re in there throwing or “practicing” there’s many nethods of doing it, but QP should be a testing zone for all that you’ve harnessed in aim training, consuming guides, and VOD reviewing.

Nah, not what’s happening here mate. I rarely use voice chat anymore, because people just flip out when things don’t go well for the team. I’ll join and listen, however. Also I generally stat-gap the lobby. Sure, some kids will claim stats don’t matter. I get kills, I also get at least top 2/4 of healing as well. The entire point of the thread is that the reporting/ban system needs fixed. It’s been this way for like two years now. If you have no actual input on the topic, carry on.

You’re not wrong, it’s been going downhill for a few years. However, their new wannabe politically correct nonsense is killing the game exponentially quicker than it otherwise would… It’s already absurd to think you can get a month ban from people pretending I said something hurtful through text chat. They should be forced to verify that anything negative was even said before banning a paying customer for a month… point blank. That in itself should be inexcusable.

I had this happen today. Someone reported me annd tellingveveryone about it because I was playing D.Va into Zarya…
We held the enemy from getting 3 points on NYC, and was less than 20m from winning. It’s ridiculous to have people like that.

Oh I’m on the verge. It’s sad too, been playing since before competitive even released. It’s really depressing to know they just don’t care anymore. They’re rolling in so much money that they’ll auto-ban veterans and smurfs the same, with literally no evidence.
They spend all of their development time on exuberantly priced skins, but won’t fix one of the core, crucial parts of their game. The dreadful reporting system. Random trolls should unequivocally not be able to stop anyone ever from playing the game through false reports.

I usee to not bother with teporting at all. Now, I make it my business to report someone every time I play. Especially when I know THEY TREAT OTHER PEOPLE how they treat me too.
If I detect you are that kind of person, I will be reporting. I get a thank you notification every time i turn the game on.

Oh I do the same. The only difference is, the clowns that I’m reporting are actually saying terrible things. I do not.
The community needs to come to grips with the fact they’ve made the culture of this game deplorable… Blizzard is doing this. Everyone knows you can’t be honest anymore, or you get banned. Even if you’re being incredibly polite about it.
Everyone knows they can abuse the reporting system, considering it’s gotta be only a handful to ban someone at this point. I get multiple notifications a day too. This era of coddling to twelve year olds mass-report abusing needs to end. It will absolutely be the death of this game.

I understand you a lot since I refuse to get off Ball unless there is three counters on the enemy team all specifically hunting me down.
But yeah I get upset when I get a whiff of anyone being toxic and just abusive in gameplay and in chat.

The pathetic thing is, you can’t though. That’s my point. You get salty players reporting you for not doing what they want, even if you’re doing great. Then you get banned, because you upset little Timmy. Even if you did nothing wrong. The culture of this game–like I said–is disgusting now.
