Getting ''lost connection to server'' EVERY GAME

I’ve been experiencing heavy disconnections in the last 4 days. I can’t do a game without being disconnected in it. It’s really annoying. I paid thousands for a good internet and a brand new Gaming PC. Updated all my drivers, did the IP change, DNS Flush, i did everything. I now have 14 match with 75% XP less, and i can’t even quit a QP game. I never had any lags or any disconnection in the last 6 months since my new pc and internet. I’m getting tired of it and lost many SRs and got banned a couple of times. I didn’t change anything at home. Always been the same. I ran the Looking Glass test, please tell me what’s wrong. I can’t stand it anymore. This is my only entertainment in the quarantine and I don’t enjoy it anymore. It doesn’t stay connected more then 5 minute and keep disconnecting when i NEVER had any problems even with my bad PC and internet it NEVEr happened. please help me i wanna play normally again.

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

it was the worst test i’ve ever done. it Lagged even more then before. Many rubber band, 5 disconnect so i had to add time every time and it was a pain to play it. So what’s wrong with me ? why did my awesome internet that never had any issues for six months finally decided to be dumb and refrain me from playing my favorit game ? I don’t enjoy it anymore. it’s really frustrating. I fi need to get wired internet ill sadly wont me able to, my parents dont want to make holes in the walls to give me wired connection. Si if it’s my internet, i’m doomed and even though i spend so much money on good equipment, I won’t be able to enjoy it anymore.

whats the problem ?

the . net i had to seperate the dot cause post doesnt accept links.

FrenchToast,

Your connection to your router is extremely unstable. I’m surprised you’re even able to connect with a connection this poor, to be honest. Your average latency is 300 ms before you leave your house, you’re dropping 9% of packets you’re sending to your router, and you’re having lag spikes of almost 5 whole seconds. (4.9k ms worst spikes)

If you’re on wifi, I strongly encourage you to swap to an ethernet cable and power cycle your connection, which will probably fix it. If you are already using an ethernet cable, you may want to reach out to your ISP to replace your router. It should be doing much better than this.

I never had any problems. ? I’ve been with this for six months and I never ever lagged or got any disconnect from the game and I play 10-11h a day. The IP was the game one not my IP from my PC. I’ve been playing with the same internet for six months and I run the game Maz capacity 10 hours a day and all of a sudden without any changes it becomes super unstable ? What can cause an internet to become suddenly unstable ?

FrenchToast,

Speaking as someone who just had to replace a router for similar reasons - hardware dies over time. You can try power cycling the router which will often clear cache floods, and update the router’s firmware. Bad firmware can sometimes cause that so if there are updates available, this may help you out. In any event, if you’re renting the device from the ISP they should be able to troubleshoot the device with you and get you a swap out if it all fails. I’m pretty sure that once you fix up that packet loss and those latency spikes, though, you’re going to go back to normal.

I see ! It’s a rented one it’s a 2 in one (router and modem) that I paid 200$. It’s suppose to be "the amazing super quality and never dies) so I’m really disappointed. It’s virus time so they can’t really go to people’s house to repair their stuff. And those clean/update. How do we do that ?

With this happening at the home network, you’ll want to talk with the ISP to see what options are available here. We won’t know how the ISP is currently deciding to handle the situation or if they may still send a technician out with specific guidelines on social distancing. They may not need to send anyone out to you, if they can check out some setitngs or the signal/lines outside of the house and see the problem there.

We are very limited to home network issues as these situations are outside of our control and we do not have the ability to check what the ISP can check for. It may help to try resetting the combo router back to factory default and see if any settings like QoS, WMM, or UPnP are enabled, and if disabling them can help. If you do need any assistance with this, the ISP should be able to help out if it’s rented with them.
