Hello, recently I have been either playing Easy or Medium AI to earn xp freely by either sitting on the point or payload while other players does all the work on killing the enemies since they are mostly desperate to get a lot of kills or get play of the game. So I thought, you know what, I’m just gonna poke in some damage just to not get kicked out and then sit down and after a while, FREE XP & level ups & loot box Of course I’ll still try to kill the ai if I’m being threatened to being killed by them but since they are not much of a threat to fight comparing to against other players, I can just lay back and get free xp that way without trying much! Soooo relaxing with free level ups as I slowly ride the payload or rest in the point. I don’t need to worry about killing anyone most of the time since most other players are going to kill the ai anyways due to how easy they are to kill.
The main point why I want to sit back is because, I want to collect loot boxes and level up the easy way possible, then I’ll be finished playing the game once all the cosmetics are collected for me. Then I’ll waiting until new stuffs or added or at least hang out with my friends.
Sure QP, Competitive, and Arcade gives more xp, but it pressures me too much to fight. I like to take my time earning xp without needing to fight much.
I don’t know if that is considered cheating or abusing game mechanics on poke damage to prevent myself from being removed from the game or inactivity for doing that.
I’m doing this for a reason if you think I’m wasting my time. I’m earning xp to earn loot boxes and hope to get as many cosmetic as I can. After that, I’m done with this game
Because I plan to collect as many cosmetics as I can as my own goal, and after that, I can wait out until they add another cosmetics I can earn by using credits or from the loot box, which will pretty much happen every time the event starts and add new stuff. And hopefully be prepared for Overwatch 2 for that.
Even thought I may quit, I’ll still continue to play with my friend or keep in touch on what new things they add to the game and try it out privately.
I believe it is technically reportable because it could be classified as “inactivity”, however it’s only Versus AI and your team is probably killing everything with no hassle.
AI is not as effective, but it’s VERY relaxing. And I do not want to compete or kill, because I like to sit back and not bother fighting and let other players do those work for me. I don’t like being pressured to take much responsibilities
I see, you want to be passive and not worry about winning. In which case there might be some game browser modes that can offer you more XP by sitting around.
It is still not the best for gaining loot but it is a passive xp farm.
I imagine if you hook up a controller you can just tie your analog in a direction and put down a turret. Then you only need to do this set up once or twice a match except on payload maps. If you’re just trying to read or something while passively getting xp. I can’t imagine anyone caring about it on easy AI. One person can beat an easy team pretty effortlessly
Sadly, nowadays. The game browser hasn’t been offering any XP for me lately. Every time I try to do that, it keeps saying “DAILY LIMIT OF XP FOR CUSTOM GAMES REACHED”

Mmm I see. Well just want to let you know even thought I made a custom game that isn’t workshop, it still doesn’t really help me earn xp sadly. I’ve been hoping there would be an efficient way to earn xp through game browser one day. Hopefully in Overwatch 2 I guess
