No. It’s not perfect but it’s stats that actually help. Just because it doesn’t account for every player doesn’t mean it’s not a good source. Averages still apply. It has a huge amount of players and you can take the average.
Your logic discredits massive polls and studies because it doesn’t account for everyone which is just silly
Bad cause it’s the only form of stats we have
Id be fine with no overbuff if blizz actually provided stats.
Throw out statistical data and evidence so people can argue with feelings?
True but think about…
No more:
“This” is what’s allowed…you cant play “that”…xyz is the “meta”…
No more posts about how X is strong/weak because they have W% pickrate this week amongst Y rank…
We all have a general feel for what works and doesn’t work anyway…
People can just play what they want because they feel like playing it and not because some webpage is telling them to play it…
Blizz would have their internal data that would still showcase what needs addressing…
I’m not seeing the downside honestly…
Not good decision
Goodnight
This exactly. Overbuff isn’t perfect but it’s all we have. It’s also the most reliable source we have. If Blizzard gave us real stats and how we compare to other players then Overbuff would become unreliable and obsolete. Too bad that isn’t the case
I remember a post in the last couple of months going a step further and suggesting no stats in game whatsoever…
Honestly doesn’t sound too bad either…
I would love for them to remove that or at least update it to reflect information correctly like sym not being a support -.-
Like, no profiles?
No like no tab button
This would make for a very good debate methinks…
The webpage doesn’t tell you what to play or dictate the meta. It collects the data on what people are playing and what the meta is.
The arguments would still happen, just with worse data. Probably someone would make a site that tallied the data from all publicly streamed matches on twitch or something like that, or maybe a tool that screen-reads your match data.
corrupt data never helps, not to mention the fact that people are awful at reading data accurately either way so you have bad data behind bad arguments and you get one hell of clownery going around
Too bad that fairy tail land you live in doesn’t exist. OWL would still be a thing without Overbuff and people will know what is best. Twitch/YouTube/ETC. They can just look at your stats if your profile is open and flame you. There is nothing you can do there and the fact you want to protect your feelings is selfish imo
Oh you will not find disagreement from me on that…but people sure as heck treat it like it does
How is that even a debate? You get a glimpse of who is doing what better than you and what to work on. How is that not helpful? The only negative is people tell you what to play sometimes but who cares what those people say? Play what you want. I’ll take facts over feelings any day of the week
Because of how people use said data
Elaborate? Because it sounds like you consider it more of a negative than a positive because people come at your feelings
