Such a miserable experience playing against this. I came back to Overwatch 2 after a near 4 month break and was quickly reminded why I stopped playing in favor of Marvel Rivals.
It sucks as a tank, sucks as a support; its just miserable to play against. Remove it altogether.
Seems people don’t really like these passives and I don’t know if they will adjust them or remove them or not but I think a sad outcome is a musical chairs of complaints.
Imagine, the passive is removed, people complain about no one dying, raid boss, op supports, or emphasize how weak dps are in a hero shooter or fps game. They’re going to have to make changes to make most people feel good about passives or figure something else out
25%/3s is absolutely too much for something that can be activated by a single pellet from across the map. Even by deployables like Torb’s turret or Bob. It’s terrible.
My only issue with the dps passive is pretty much that only dps can inflict it. I know why but it would probably be better if tanks and supports could too
Yes, the 25% heal reduction is just a huge nerf to supports, plus it benefits rapid-fire heroes (Soldier 76, Sombra, etc.) much moreso than slow-fire heroes (Pharah, JunkRat, etc.)
I say remove them all at this point. Keep the global health regen one that they took from support and gave to everyone. Then if a specific tank need something add it on as a personal passive like Rein’s old one.
It really should be debuff that builds the more damage the take. The fact that eating a phara rocket to the face is the same as being whiffed by sniper reaper is ridiculous.
Like 5 damage = 1% up to 25%. It would still solve the issue of fights going forever because of high sustain.
That’s true about reaction times, but I was referring whether burst (Pharah) or sustained (Soldier) is most effective with the DPS passive to secure a kill. I think it’ll depend on which hero you’re fighting, but over the course of a match I think sustained would be more effective overall.
I would much rather the DPS passive be removed entirely, but having the heal-reduction ramping up (1% - 25%) is a better alternative to what we have now.
Well, if you can’t even stand DPS passives, you sure won’t put up with “perks” coming to the game soon (no idea if it’s supposed to be released tomorrow or mid-season, or whenever) but this clearly won’t go your way (the opposite actually).
Come back in 2026, maybe Overwatch will be more to your liking when they remove passives and perks (by then, hypothetically).
I hope you keep having fun on MR. I sure do ! Our update with two new heroes is this Friday !
