Geoff Goodman did a great job

I wasn’t talking about that, no. I don’t blame anyone but the top leadership and marketing for the lack of content.

Which destroyed the game. I keep track of all balance changes in this topic and most of them make the game worse, not better, overtime you get a destroyed game, specially and specifically for tanks.

Nope. It’s excessive CC, busted heroes that longed for years and complete apathy for tank fun. Goodman’s balance leadership made tanks worse almost every single patch. And no I don’t mean silly nerfs to Dva or whomever, I mean excessive CC, hard category counters and burst damage issues that were never addressed, only made worse.

Goodman was team leader for those new heroes too. You have to take the good with the bad and the bad far outnumbers the good.

The game speaks for itself. The exodus of pros speaks for itself. The queue times speak for themselves. The hellish infernal gameplay of tanks speaks for itself.

Overwatch 2 being marketed as low CC, more FPS-y, high impact skilful gameplay speaks for itself. Goodman made Overwatch the anti-thesis of what OW2 is. At best he cleaned up his own mess and only a kid gets a gold star for that.

Again, who wanted it that way? Who was team leader when “hard countering” mentality was put forth for 6 years? Who made excessive CC and destroyed the game I fell in love with years ago? Who consistently and repeteadly dismantled tank gameplay with idiotic balance changes?

You cannot take the good and excuse the bad. You can’t claim Goodman did a good job because he made cool heroes while at the same time ignoring those same heroes destroyed Overwatch, as did Geoff Goodman’s team slow, cowardice, stuborn and frankly just completely out of touch balance changes.
