i don’t get how this mythic store works, so after this season ends will the mercy mythic not be available anymore? because it says orisa’s mythic is returning next. so do they go in and out of rotation?
I would say it will be only available 3 seasons after the release. There is no rotation concept.

The new skins will be getting added to the shop 2 seasons after their release.
If you don’t get the mercy skin now, you will have to wait a lot.

Its basically a form of FOMO. If you do not buy it now during S10, you will need to wait two full seasons (around 5 months) to be able to buy it.

I believe that after this season you will need to buy it with the mythic coins as well
Boy you kiddos really love that word. Can we really still call it FOMO if you literally cannot miss out on something?
Not getting today because I can buy it later in the summer is kinda totally undeniably different than not getting it today and then never ever being able to get it again for the rest of my life. One of those is FOMO, the other is more like FOWAB, fear of waiting a bit.
No offense, but it seems kind of silly to assume that theres not a serious undertone of ‘Oh man if I don’t get it NOW then it’ll be forever and by then there might be one i want even MORE’ to this whole thing.
It might not be the textbook definition of FOMO but its a form of it.

Mythic prisms are the ONLY way to buy Mythics now. You do not get the skin in the BP, you get 80 prisms spread out through the whole thing (you need to tier 78). The shop is presumably how everyone gets mythics for the forseeable future.
If you do not get the “featured” mythic it looks like you have to wait 3 seasons to get it.
Personally the fact I can weigh whether I want the featured one or a past one and I know exactly when the one I “miss” will come back makes it a billion times better than “will I ever have a chance to get this again?”
lets face it, the new system is better bc it gives you options. you can unlock whichever tiers of the mythic you want. if you only buy tier one its “cheaper” than it was before. you can also opt to skip mythics of heroes you dont play and buy other mythics later that you missed.
i dont see how theres anything bad to this system compared to what we had before: mythics in the current bp only and they wont return if you didnt buy the bp and grinded to level 80.
I would have agreed with you if this was season 1 or 5 or any season in between before we learned that previous mythic skins were making a return, but that’s not where we are. We are in season 10 where WE ALL LITERALLY KNOW that mythic skins have their own shop and can be purchased or grinded for. You missed it in season 1, you can get it now, you miss Evil Mercy this season? You can just get it in season 13 or whatever. Because you know it’s coming back. Whereas before we did not know. That was FOMO. This isn’t.
So no offense to you, but if you still feel this “FOMO pressure” even though you know you’ll be able to just get any skin later on, then that’s a problem with your own mentality/psychology and not the mythics being FOMO or “a type of FOMO”.
Missing out is missing out. As in entirely. As in “this item will never ever ever be available again, so buy it now or never”. FOMO is not ‘missing out for a little while’.

No, exactly. If someone uses their prisms to get an old one, bypassing the evil mercy skin this time, they’ll be waiting two seasons before it’ll come back around.
No big deal right? Except, what if in that two-season interim other mythics drop and then when Evil mercy is back in shop? You’ve got the same torn choice.
