This will be (technically) the first ever OW2 shop skin (can only get it with coins), to be just a recolor of an old OW1 skin (“Ice Wraith”), and that’s just, I’m out of words.
When do something good (decent at least) I say it, like when they allow credits in the BP and most OW1 skins that can be unlocked with credits.
But, when they do something lazy, like this, out of words, you can literally buy the original “Ice Wraith” right now with 1500 credits, it’s not even an “locked/only promotion” skin, like lifeguard Pharah or blackwatch Moira.
And yes I know they announced before they will introduce that old hunter Sombra skin in form of a recolor for credits, it’s not the same, you will be able to get the new Sombra recolor with just credits, the Genji one needs coins.

Is this confirmed? They said with Gilded Sombra, more skins will come to the event shop so… Genji and Ram’s recolors are those skins, no?

I think so. My guess is that three will be in a recolor category in the shop, the WotB characters will be in there as well and maybe some Premium BP only skins like Starwatch Soldier and Omnic Cass.

I think they are gonna swap the shop throughout the event- there is no way they can make a shop out of 1 new skin, the rest you could get before

Not really. The old ice skin has OW1 textures and the new one has OW2 textures. Its like 3x the polygons. Same goes for the Sombra skin in the credit shop. They are OW2 skins, while the “originals” look like… from 2016.

But i, at least, am talking about the other recolors as well being in the credit shop while only Sombra is from the bunch. I get that they’ve remade them and thats a good thing they’ve basically upgraded old skins.
