for something you cannot block or avoid reliably it does way too much damage to warrant. people need to stop acting like genji is some underpowered niche hero when he’s overused in mid levels

It is absolutely tickle damage compared to what basically 100% of the other cast can easily do for damage on their primary without having to waste abilities, apart from Moira and Winston, but even then, their damage output isn’t to be underestimated.

Bhoop him, u can fade, u can dodge with your own mobility.

he is under powered. look at the tier lists every knowledgeable player is making. he is still around D-tier no matter how many people are playing him, and no matter how annoying you think he is.

i’ll admit it is annoying but everyone calling it tickle damage are forgetting that it hits literally everything in its path (which is a huge path btw, it’s actually bigger than the skill animation itself) so really he’s hitting 50 dmg on every hero grouped together. mostly he uses it to secure the kill on a low health enemy escaping and it is impossible to outrun and many times very difficult to time a counter (stun, fade, boop, whatever else) so you pretty much have a very low chance of survival if an enemy genji is pushing you

50 dmg is not that much. Yes it’s virtually unavoidable but it’s quite balanced for an ability that forces Genji to be in a riskier position.
By comparison a Dynamite can do a hell lot more with no risk to Ashe, as can Sticky Bombs, Conc Mine or even Helix. All of them are risky free abilities with greater range and greater damage.

He in general is easy to counter. Dash barely does any damage. Show me which hero you play and I will explain how they are obnoxious.
