pickrate peters preached for years that genji was a good pick in gm and that people did not play what was fun but as genji mains were perma avoided they suddenly died off
all the gm genji community just deranked straight to diamond and are still hardstuck there because genji is a dog hero
it took over 2 years for genji to be touched, then they messed up and left for another 8 months and hes still a bottom 5 hero
I can hear it now “wHaT aBouT bastion etc”
press forum, press create post, I will be happy to discuss there
I also feel soldier is in a similar situation, everyone preaches that hes “fine and great all around” but he has been straight trash for like 3 years
I would rather have any hero on my team over genji or soldier
some people may say “i don’t want a dva” or “I would hate a bastion” but at least they do something that only they could do
what rubs me the wrong way is picking genji or soldier is like playing an inferior hero
What’s sad is that he’s so close to being at least viable at higher tiers. A small buff to his burst would make him completely balanced. It’s like blizz does 70 percent of the work and never finishes the job.
He’s a c tier hero, and although he’s not the worst hero in the game, considering his insane difficulty, its a massive kick in the nuts to keep him that low. Tracer has remained an s tier hero for years with her high difficulty, so why has genji been banished from b tier for 3 years straight. A hero that takes 1000 hours to even come close to mastering should at least be viable at higher tiers. Currently, grinding genji is simply a waste of time and that’s really sad.
It is not that weird, those people feel Genji is fine whereas they don’t believe heroes like Bastion are fine. There is also the fact that Genji mains are annoying. People are even willing to hear out Sym mains… Think about it.
Most ironic thing about this is people claim for these heroes to be OP and broken, but do you ever hear anyone in game go, “Can we please have a genji?” No seriously, for people to complain about how OP genji is, how come they never want him on their team? For a hero to be so op and broken as they claim, surely they would want a genji on their team? No, you never hear that. You usually hear people say “switch off genji, youre not doing anything.” even before the match starts too.
He’s literally bottom 5 in gm and owl, saying that he’s viable is a joke. And just because it’s possible to do it with a certain hero it doesn’t make that hero viable.
I ask for genji all the time when high ground is going uncontested.
Also if we are running OG dive. He’s better than echo with OG dive. Lesser so in double bubble.
Prolikechro, Junkrat one-trick, since season 1 till now. Maintained top 500 or GM. Went through his strongest to the weakest period.
Stevo, the guy who played Sym, went through tons of rework to his hero fundamentally, made tons of acc to repeat his feat of constantly placing in top 500 or GM with Sym. Bigsucc also prob qualifies.
Fuey500/Clank, torb mains that went through his numerous iteration, from weakest to his current viable state.
I’m pretty sure there’s more but one thing for sure.
